Spent 1 night at the Gator Den. Nicely decorated, spacious and enough beds for all 5 of us. Our kids enjoyed having access to kayaks and I loved the screened in front porch. Beautiful area, peaceful and quiet. Very relaxing. Being city folk, there were a few too many bugs indoors for our liking, but totally understandable. We'd love to stay there again.
The owner was a pleasure to work with. She made our trip a breeze to stay with and help set up our trip for success. The house was very nice and clean. The proximity to the boat ramp made getting on and off the water in a snap. If you like to fish this is the place to stay. Our group had a great time.
The Gator Den was such a blast! Absolutely a beautiful property, so many perks and amenities. Easy to park, walking distance to Tuckers boat launch, and the owners are incredibly helpful. 5 21 year old women were able to have fun comfortably and celebrate our friend getting married. The only suggestion I could even add is a curtain to cover the sliding glass door bc it is very easy to see in at night. Other than that, it’s a perfect place to stay!
The cabin is as advertised. It was very clean. Had plenty of room for everyone. The front screened in porch is a great for relaxing and enjoying the hot tub. You can see the lake from the front porch. The mattresses are new. They are a little too firm for my preferences, but that’s a personal preference and nothing against the host or house. WiFi and data aren’t great, but then why do you need internet when you’re at the lake.
Needed a base camp for 24 hrs while on the lake for a photo shoot. Gator Den was perfect for our needs! The host allowed us to drop our bags a bit early and plug in a crock pot to get dinner rolling. The property was tiddy inside and out. Newer clean appliances and comfortable beds and couches. Showers hot and good pressure. It is within walking distance of the lake and had ample space to bark a boat or two overnight. Thank you April!

Nice owner
it wasn’t exactly what we were expecting. We did have roaches and ants. The landlord dropped off some bait but it didn’t really change anything. The sofa quit working we tried everything and couldn’t get it to work but in messing with it there was cereal and something spilled under the couch. Cereal in the couch. There was a poor dog that was hungry and hung out we finally fed her she was starving we couldn’t get anyone to come get her.

Gator Den
We saw mouse droppings in the cabinet above the stove. Every dish we tried to use was dirty, had to be washed to use. Bugs were in the kids beds. They had to sleep on the couch. And they said they colud hear mice, making noises. They guy that runs the boat ramp was very nosey. Demanding we pay 3 dollars to fish. We didnt see anywhere it said we needed to pay. No big deal. Other than that, the stay was ok.

I want to start by saying this review has me really bothered. We have been on another booking platform for 4 years where we are superhosts and this cabin has all 5 star reviews. We just added our cabins to this platform and this is our 1st guest via VRBO. Michael and his family stayed at our cabin Mon-Thur. Not one time did he communicate ANY issue. Never even a return message when I messaged him. We had guests check out the same day he checked in they left 5 stars a great review, we had guests arrive the day he checked out, they also left a 5 star and great reviews. This review is not accurate! Why would you not let the host know there was an issue??? We have no mice.....have never had an issue with our kitchen cleanliness, as far as "bugs" come to find out it was ants or spiders or something to that nature mind you our cabin is by a lake, a swampy lake.....in a rural area. We spray the yard weekly to try and minimize the insects aka bugs and I was there and cleaned personally both the day of checkin and checkout and there was nothing in the beds (he did not strip the beds at checkout). As far as Tuckers fish camp across the road. They have a boat launch, fishing and boat parking. They also have a sign AND a drop box for the $3 they had to walk past to get to the water which information is also in our guest book on a flyer.
