The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was clean and the fact that it was covered was a bonus as it rained and we were still able to enjoy using the hot tub. Would definitely stay here again!
Great communication with house owners, easy to access the house, kitchen equipped and living room great for relaxing and watch TV. Hot Tub with an external TV was a plus and really relaxing! 2 nice bedrooms and 1 full bathroom in the main floor, a pool table and kids space with another queen bed in the top floor. We will return for sure!
Everything was as posted. The hot tub was very clean and ready to use after a short heat up, the pool table and Pac-Man was a nice way to spend family time together as well as the trail through the woods. Catherine, the host, was always responsive, the check in went smoothly. It was an overall good stay. Thank you Catherine!
Beautiful and peaceful getaway - the property is very true to the description and the hosts were extremely helpful with everything that we needed. It was very kid and pet friendly. The kitchen was fully equipped and there was an awesome grill with a whole set of utensils. We really loved the outdoor spaces and had a great time around the fire pit in the evenings. One small tip - I would recommend bringing bottled water as the tap water is a bit sulphury. Overall, the property is very well-maintained and beautifully situated for privacy and peace and the hosts were absolutely wonderful.
Perfect spot for a relaxing weekend close to the mountains. Perfect little spot with everything you need! Very nice hosts, couldn’t have asked for a better weekend!
We had a great time at this property. The house was so cute and had everything we needed. We stayed in August so the rooms had window AC units. The fire pit was our hangout spot in the evening. The loft area was a fun place for the kids to play. We even brought our dog! The owners were easy to communicate with and responsive when we texted them. The sheets and blankets were so soft and cozy. I have nothing bad to say about this stay!
Great location, lots of local hiking, beautiful area. House had a ton to offer for the kids, but we spent most of the time outside!
Hosts very quick to respond and included thoughtful extras for our dogs. Highly recommend!
Great place, plenty of room eventhough all our group cancelled last minute and it was just me and my wife. We visited Cooperstown Hall of Fame on a rain day. Overall great accommodations and great host.
Very child friendly.kitchen well stocked.loved hot tub and shaded patio. Fire pit great! Nearby pool for kids was great. Lots of fun games!all in all well worth it! Also very relaxing! Laundry in prattsville..easy to get there!
We stayed here for the Christmas weekend with my family of four and our two pugs. We had an amazing experience. The place was beautiful and big, the hot tub, the indoor/outdoor fireplace, clean, well stocked items, the cabin temperature, the game items,etc... The response from the owner was outstanding. We will definitely come back during summer.
Myself and 5 friends stayed here for a weekend getaway. Location was great for relaxing. The house itself was a little small for all of us but it had a little of everything which was great! There wasn't much that was close to the house if you're looking for a lot of activities. But overall we had a good time.
My husband and I wanted to get away with our 3 boys for a few days for Christmas. Catherine & Diego’s home was perfect for what we were looking for! There was no shortage of things to keep our boys entertained and my husband and I were able to relax and enjoy our time away. Catherine was wonderful to communicate with and made sure every need was met and exceeded! We would love to stay again!
Catherine & Diego, thank you for sharing your home with us!
Our group of 6 (wife, friend, our three young kids, and myself) had a lovely time at this house.
The house is bright, well maintained, clean, with a properly stocked kitchen. We had an amazing 3 day weekend without straying more than 10 minutes from the house.
The kids loved the reading nook, boardgames, game room, and outdoor playset, while the adults spent most of our time on the lovely deck and outdoor seating.
For the slightly chilly nights we all migrated to the hot tub and very nice firepit.
The hosts have created a very well marked trail through the woods behind the house that was a great way to get into nature with little effort. The state park 5 minutes down the road had beautiful trails, and a nice waterfall/river that we spent an afternoon playing in (there is also a great looking pool that wasn't open yet).
The next day we spent the afternoon at the Rockland cidery (also 5 minutes away) enjoying drinks and live music while the kiddos played cornhole and ran in the field.
It's worth mentioning that there isn't a nearby full-sized grocery store, so plan on grabbing food on your way in.
Catherine and Diego were very responsive and helpful with anything we needed (which was very little). We highly recommend their home for a relaxing weekend in nature.
We spent an enjoyable week at this rustic chalet. It has a nice mountain view and is down a quiet road with just a couple of other houses. The house had mostly everything we needed. The waffle maker was a big hit.The fridge had plenty of space and there was coffee, tea, sugar and misc spices available. (Note there is not a dishwasher or washing machine at the property, and the well water does have a sulfur odor - in case you aren't used to rural water quirks).
The hot tub was nice to have, especially during the snowfall. I would have loved to visit in summer and use the big fire pit - the Adirondack chairs looked sturdy and comfy.
The beds were comfortable, linens clean and plenty of bath and hot tub towels. There was also a small basket for four legged guests that included blankets and extra poop bags.
We had some lousy weather but made it to Mine Kill park for a hike and visited Howe Caverns (about a half hour away). We also had dinner at Sundaes and it was fantastic - best ice cream ever! There is a convenience store/gas station a short drive away and a little further is a well stocked grocery store.
l'd recommend this home for families of 3-4, or a small group of friends. With multiple couples or families it would be cramped. It's especially nice for little kids (under 8-10) and pets with the built in stair gates, play area and small swing set. TVs in rooms were nice but unreliable. We brought board games and enjoyed the pool table!
We stayed here for 5 days and really enjoyed our staying
The house is very clean and comfortable, kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms are fully completed.Location is so beautiful Everything was perfect
Thanks for Catherine and Diego for our amazing vacation. They are excellent hosts
We loved our stay at this cozy and well stocked getaway. The outdoor area was perfect for hanging out after a morning’s hike and the early evenings were perfect for sitting in the hot tub and by the fire, which we did every night. Catherine was very responsive to our texts. The private road is a little bumpy, but the home is close to many fun things to do, including a nice state park about 5 mins away and a tasty ice cream spot that we probably went to too many times! Thank you Catherine and Diego.
Despite the cooler weather that particular weekend, we really enjoyed our stay at Catherine & Diego’s chalet. The secluded location and well-equipped home were ideal for our family gathering. The chalet itself was clean, with more than the essentials provided. The fully stocked kitchen with the waffle maker was a hit for brunch. We grilled meals daily, enjoyed s'mores by the fire pit and soaked in the hot tub one of the afternoons. We loved the rustic but chic décor, while being extremely kid friendly. The chalet is conveniently located a very short drive to Mine Kill State Park and Rockland Cider Works, where we stopped to see the waterfalls and taste ciders on the way back home. Catherine was easy to communicate with, promptly answering all questions and providing all necessary details via email. I was glad that I brought along a printed copy of the documents as I referred to it often for details about the property. Thank you, Catherine & Diego!
Me and my girlfriend enjoyed our weekend stay at Catherine and Diego’s place. Everything was clean and easy to use. The pool table upstairs and hot tub with the outdoor television made our stay so indescribably perfect. Highly recommend renting this place!
