The house has so much character! Good gathering space and nice decor. It had everything we needed. It is a great location for visiting the Eastern Shore.
Nice, well decorated and comfortable property. We highly recommend it. It is clean and well appointed and just a short walking distance to the wharf snd the center of town.
We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The rooms were beautifully appointed and the house was stocked better than any of the numerous rentals we’ve stayed in. The location was very quiet yet we were able to walk to Mallards and throughout the quaint downtown.
We had an amazing stay at this wonderfully charming house. The entire house is well appointed with comfortable furniture and interesting antiques. The kitchen is very well equipped with lots of space for easy meal prep. Our son loved the kid's room with bunk, as well as the books and night lights which were also there. Onancock is a great place to wind down and relax and conveniently located to use as a home base for day trips around the area. We hope to be back soon!
Our family was visiting the area for the first time to attend a wedding. The home is well appointed with ample room close to restaurants. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful stay! The house has so much character! Two very comfortable rooms to gather in. It also has all the modern amenities that we needed. It was very clean. The location was right in the heart of Onancock, so we were able to walk to the wharf and all through town.
The house was very nice, clean and comfortable. We appreciated that it was decorated for the holidays, which made it feel special! We could easily walk to everything in town and were pleasantly surprised by how much was open (restaurants, shops) during the winter season.
The Parsonage is a home with character. The property was clean and well appointed. We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed being around the corner from Mallards which we’ve been to many times over the years. Short walk into town. I will rent again!
This home is comfortable, spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. There was room for others, but we were just a 3-person team from a university who were visiting NASA's Wallops Space Flight Facility for the week. It was a bit of a commute every morning but we enjoyed the drive. I cooked our food for the trip in the large kitchen and we grilled out one night, too. I was able to do our laundry, so it was like a beautiful home away from home. The owners were accessible and check-in was a breeze. I recommend this place for any vacationer or people in the area on business, as we were.
What a lovely home! Absolutely beautiful, comfortable, welcoming... Everything from the very beginning of the search process to checkout was smooth and positive. Kitchen was well stocked, a/c worked perfectly, the owners put together helpful info about the area of Onancock and eastern shore, VA. Would love to come back again!

Beautiful...Comfortable....Spotless!
The Parsonage is beautifully appointed and well maintained. It had comfortable sleeping with clean and pretty bathrooms and lovely gathering places, both inside and outside. Further, it is located nicely for walking to visit shops and restaurants in town. Very quiet neighborhood.
Loved it and will definitely rent again for our next family gathering. Wedding next June!
Thank you for making this lovely home available.

Wonderful vacation
This is a truly lovely home. We enjoyed every moment in this beautifully restored historic property. There is plenty of room for everyone with a great kitchen and stunning bathrooms. The property is conveniently located in the charming Onancock. We walked everywhere and appreciated the low-key, friendly town that sets the stage for a relaxing getaway. There are several excellent restaurants and the absolute best doughnuts at the Corner Bakery. We also enjoyed kayaking and the beach at nearby Assateague. A special thank you to the property owners for your helpful assistance and gracious hospitality!

Onancock is a wonderful small friendly town. So glad you enjoyed your stay.
Wonderful property located in the heart of Onancock. The house is a short (very short) walk to Mallard's and the town Wharf. The property is ideal for anyone who will be boating on Onancock Creek or in the Bay. The town has excess parking directly across the street from the house.
The house was charming and well-apportioned (we had 7 adults that were all comfortable in the house.) We biked around town (2 bikes provided with the house), visited the art galleries (2nd Friday gallery walk) and enjoyed live music multiple nights in town. We also fished and crabbed in the creek out of our boats.
A word of warning to light sleepers--the house is old (although wonderfully renovated in the past 10 or so years), and with all old houses, floorboards and stairs tend to make noise when walking on them so you will hear people up and walking around at night.
Overall a wonderful old house in a wonderful old town. Will definitely return.

Thank you Christopher! We lived in the house with 3 young boys so we certainly understand what you mean about the sounds! I will get some white noise machines added to the bedrooms to help mitigate that.
In town for a wedding. We had a delightful stay at the parsonage. It is well appointed and in a location that's accessible to all that onancock has to offer!
We are repeat visitors to this property for the last couple of years. It is in a great location on Virginia's Eastern Shore, in with convenient access to groceries, banks, restaurants, and even the local hospital. It is also perfect if you will be visiting both points north like Chincoteague and south like Cape Charles. We love it, even just walking around downtown Onancock and the surrounding neighborhoods is just lovely. The house is beautiful and comfortable and has everything you could want for a great shore getaway. We loved sitting in the gorgeous sunroom and the porch is great too. There is a new coffee shop around the corner from the house that we visited so much, we filled our free drink punch card! The owners and staff there are so sweet as well. So much to love about this area and we always look forward to coming back. Thank you to the Smiths!
Our stay was wonderful! We had everything we needed for our stay. We had no issues. The place was tastefully decorated. Would love to come back for another stay in the future.
We loved the house which had everything we needed, excellent AC, comfortable spaces for our family of 4, and super clean! The town has quiet tree-lined streets, an idyllic marina, and is surrounded by scenic inlets of the Chesapeake Bay where we saw many Great Blue Heron and Egrits. Good restaurants, art galleries, and antique shops are close by. It was our first trip to ESVA. The only issue we had with the location was that public access to beaches involved 30-40 minute drives down to Cape Charles or up to Assateague. But that also gave us a reason to explore a bit more than we would have otherwise. We'd love to return to this house and the town as it is perfect for any city folks in search of a quiet, relaxing getaway.
Great Home and location for walking everywhere in town. Loved all the historic detail in the home. With three living room areas, everyone can be together or separate if they want.
