About this property
Live Simply Cabin | Glamping at it's finest
Discover the perfect escape at our unique and charming cabin, nestled among Ponderosa, Juniper, Pinion Pine trees, Manzanita evergreen, Scrub oak, and sage. Experience glamping at its finest in this tranquil oasis. The cabin offers a private outdoor kitchen area, a shower house, a propane grill, and a cozy fire pit, creating the ultimate outdoor experience.
Located within walking distance to East Zion Trails and adjacent to the Ponderosa Ranch Resort, you'll have access to resort amenities for additional fees, while still enjoying the privacy and seclusion of your own retreat. With the East entrance of Zion just 20 minutes away, Bryce Canyon only 90 minutes away, and the Grand Canyon North Rim a mere 2.5 hours away, this cabin is perfectly situated for exploring the natural wonders of the area.
The Live Simply cabin, located on the East Rim of Zion, offers a unique glamping experience. This custom-built tiny cabin sits on three lots within walking distance of Zion, providing ample space and a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Immerse yourself in beautiful starry skies, cool evenings, and the majestic presence of tall ponderosa pines.
Inside the cabin, you'll find a comfortable king-size bed, a leather couch, and a bistro table for two. A small TV/DVD combo is also provided for your entertainment after a long day of hiking. Cooking takes place in the outdoor kitchen area, equipped with a gas grill. The Covered gazebo offers a cozy seating area, an outdoor sink, and a small mini-fridge. Enjoy your meals at the nearby picnic table, or relax on the large deck with its inviting sitting area, perfect for reading a good book or immersing yourself in nature's tranquility. For those nostalgic moments, gather around the fire pit and indulge in s'mores while reminiscing about your day's adventures.
The separate private bath house, located just 20 ft. from the cabin, features a vanity, toilet, and shower. Please note that hot water is limited as it is heated by a small electric water heater.
As water is precious in the high-desert, the cabin has a limited water supply filled from a well. While the cabin water supply is safe for all uses, we recommend bringing bottled water for drinking purposes to ensure you stay hydrated during your desert stay.
The cabin is centrally located in Southwest Utah, making it an ideal base for exploring the region's incredible sights. From Zion National Park, which borders the cabin, to Bryce Canyon National Park (75 minutes away) and the Grand Canyon National Park (120 minutes away), you'll have endless opportunities for canyoneering, hiking, biking, sightseeing, and 4-wheeling adventures. Take your time to enjoy other nearby attractions such as Pipe Spring National Monument, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Grand Staircase National Monument, Gold Butte National Monument, Red Cliffs Recreation, Kanarraville Falls, and Lake Powell.
During the winter months, please note that the weather can be unpredictable, so we recommend all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive vehicles. The cabin is located on a well-maintained dirt road, but in winter, a 4WD vehicle with good ground clearance and chains is essential.

We enjoyed the outside cooking area. The bath house was very accommodating and clean. The site was private and quiet. We also enjoyed the proximity to both Zion and Bryce.
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and just as advertised. We appreciated the detailed guidebook and the hosts responsiveness. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Peaceful, quiet tidy and clean. I loved the location just outside the east gate of Zion, beautiful drive in everyday to the trails in the morning light
We had such a wonderful time staying in this quaint, quiet cabin/house. It was close to Zion and remote, making for a nice getaway. Hosts were amazing and provided so much helpful information.

Thank you Laura for the great review. So happy you enjoyed your time at the cabin. Best, Alex and Vanessa
Cannot say enough wonderful things about this spot. Everything from the location, the attentiveness of the property owners, and the amenities exceeded our expectations. Thank you for such a wonderful stop on our honeymoon!
It is suchhhh a cute place, we loved it. So peaceful after a big day at Zion. We grabbed some food for the grill & had a nice evening eating outdoors. The cabin was exactly as stated online. Thank you, Alexandra
I went to both Zion and Bryce Canyon during my stay. The location was convenient to both and provided a private and comfortable place to relax at the end of the day. Would highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Live Simply cabin! It was very well kept and had everything we needed. The location is incredibly peaceful and close to Zion trails. We loved cooking every day in the outdoor kitchen. Would definitely recommend staying here if you want something more relaxing than staying in Springdale.
Had a fabulous stay. This place is secluded and beautiful. A far more comfortable option than camping/tenting. It has a small outdoor kitchen and dining space, and a clean outdoor restroom with a shower.
Good for 2 people stay. I was there with my son, and we enjoyed our trip thoroughly.
Beautiful property. Modern and simple as stated in posting. Quiet and remote. The only difficulty was the amount of construction in the area made the dirt roads difficult to traverse. Great communication by rental managers.
We stayed here for our 31st anniversary and it was perfect. Secluded and quiet, no signal or Wi-Fi, no distractions. Hot and cold running water and electricity, so not "primitive" camping, but you still feel removed from the modern world in a good way. We hiked to Observation Point in Zion from the cabin, and drove easily to other sites including Bryce Canyon, Pink Coral Sands State Park, Kanab, Sand Caves, and Kanab Dinosaur Tracks. Bring your food and enjoy the peace and serenity! The stars are amazing here. There is a fire pit, outdoor kitchen with fridge and propane grill, super clean bath house with hot shower (so nice after a long day of hiking), comfortable bed, large deck with chairs, lanterns, etc. Download any maps you might need or TV shows to watch, because you won't have a signal here. SOS calls or text by satellite only. Lots of reading and relaxing! I was very impressed at how very clean everything was. Being so rural you might expect a bit of dust, sand, whatever but it was spotless. Highly recommend and the hosts are very communicative! We didn't need anything but they made sure to let us know they were responsive if we did!
Very quiet place had everything we wanted. Counted 11 shooting stars one night! Has to be the closest place to get to observation point. Would definitely come back!

Thanks for the great review. So glad you enjoyed your time. The night skies in the little Ponderosa are the best I've ever seen.
We wanted a weekend getaway to Zion National Park. We searched for the perfect quiet location for after a day of hiking. Live Simply fit the bill perfectly. A bonus was hiking to Observation Point from near the cabin. We definitely will come back!
Tiny place to get away from fast-paced daily living
This was the second place my wife and I stayed during our honeymoon. We enjoyed the local hiking and the peaceful atmosphere of the cabin. My wife appreciated the well equipped bathroom!
Quiet, private, gorgeous. No cell or internet but who cares when you are surrounded by beauty and peace! The cabin is well cared for and I loved the outdoor kitchen and bathroom (modern). It just made it seem like we were truly outdoors!
A very simple, comfortable, and quiet spot to come back to after a day of hiking in Zion National Park. My son and I throughly enjoyed our time there and having the time to connect with each other. It’s such an amazing and beautiful area of the country and this property definitely helps you connect with it. We will never forget this trip we had together!

About the host
Hosted by Alex and Vanessa Pavlides
Vanessa’s family built their vacation cabin on the borderline of Zion National Park in the mid-1970’s. As a child, she spent many summers hiking, exploring & enjoying the magical land of Zion. The area created special memories with family and friends; holding a special place in her heart. When Vanessa started a family of her own it was no surprise she brought them to the area; sharing the magic of her childhood with her own family. Hiking familiar trails and discovering new secrets became harder and harder to leave. Soon she and her husband, Alex, realized each visit was never long enough. In 2020 it was time to make Zion their home. Their love & knowledge of the area ensures their guests experience the magic of the Zion area just like a local. No matter how long or short the stay; everyone is guaranteed a unique experience. Breathtaking vistas, towering cliffs cast in rainbow patterns, sand in your shoes, canyons that wind on in maze-like patterns… it’s all here. Waiting to become unforgettable memories.
