The Modern Victorian was built in 1908 by the prominent Stewart family and sits at the entryway to Galveston's historic Silk Stocking District. With enough space for 5, you'll enjoy unwinding in a piece of local history fit with all the amenities of the 21st century. Watch the sunrise from our lush balcony or end the day with a glass of wine on our deck. Centrally located, you're within walking distance to the Pleasure Pier or a quick drive to The Strand.

The Modern Victorian has seamlessly blended modern décor with the historic architecture that Galveston's Silk Stocking District is famous for. The home is situated on a gated corner lot with beautiful views of the neighborhood.

Guests will enter via the secured and gated driveway that can easily accommodate 2 vehicles. Downstairs you'll find a formal sitting room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, full bathroom with walk-in shower, and private lounge room with a 75-inch Smart TV. The property comes equipped with high speed WiFi, perfect for streaming movies or focusing on work.

Venturing upstairs you'll find 2 rooms fitted with queen size beds and a private office with a daybed. All rooms have closets that are open for guest use. There is also a second bathroom upstairs that contains a shower-tub combo. Washer and dryer can be found in the utility room for your convenience anytime during your stay.

Wonderful property!

This is a beautiful house with all of the amenities needed while on vacation. We were very relaxed here. The location was great for us as we enjoy the closeness of the Strand and great places to eat. It’s also a great place to have family visit. Already talking about coming back to this property the next time we have an opportunity to visit Galveston.

You know how every once in a while you find a VRBO that is so clean and taken care of that you feel like you must be the only guest who has ever stayed there? That is this house. It is perfection. It is on the parade route in Galveston and SO much fun for Mardi Gras. They did a great job renovating the property. It is fun and beautiful and still has all the charm of a historic Galveston property. The host is absolutely amazing. INCREDIBLY responsive. So warm and kind. 100 percent recommend this property. We had a great experience!!

Such a great location and stay!

Loved the house and had such a great stay! Favorite part of our stay was sitting on the upstairs front porch in the evening with my husband.
