We are happy to welcome you to our unusual accommodation: the Finnish Kota '. The Finnish kota is a small hexagonal shaped cottage used as a shelter and refuge for fishermen and hunters in Nordic countries.
We have redesigned this small habitat by providing it with all the necessary comfort for an authentic stay! Our kota can accommodate 2 adults.

Welcome to our home!

We are located in Haute-Corrèze, 5 kms from the centre of Merlines, in the countryside, in a small village of a few houses and quiet.PGJyPg
Come and recharge your batteries in our fully equipped kota, with water and electricity, but without wifi for an exclusive connection with nature! PGJyPg
Walk a few hundred metres and discover our Kota, nestled on a plot of land surrounded by fields and woods with animals for company, which you can observe through the large window directly overlooking the forest. It is not uncommon to observe, fox, roe deer, deer... for your greatest pleasure.
You will also be able to glimpse the Sancy massif and admire the stars and the milky way of our beautiful sky classified as an 'International Dark Sky Reserve' !! Wake up to the singing of the birds and a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside.

Our Kota, with a surface area of 19 m² that can accommodate 2 adults and facing south, consists of:
- a main room of 16 m² including a 140x190 bed with a chest of drawers, an armchair, a TV, a kitchen area with sink, fridge, 2 ceramic hobs, a microwave, a Nespresso coffee machine and a kettle, a toaster as well as everything you need to cook. Books are at your disposal to relax.

For your comfort, we have designed and fitted out a small independent shower room of 3 m², with toilet, sink, shower and hairdryer. Namely, the maximum height of the shower room is 1.80 m in the centre!

The kota has an air cooler and a fan. The radiators will warm up the cooler days!

The bed is made on arrival and towels are provided.

Outside, you can enjoy a large grounds.
A table, garden chairs and a barbecue are at your disposal to enjoy meals outside. A 10 m² terrace with deckchairs will be very pleasant for a break in the sun or to have a good breakfast.

You are a few minutes from all shops (mini-markets, bank, pharmacy ...) and close to the ski resorts of Mont Dore (40 min) and Super Besse (1h).

Many activities and hikes are to be discovered in the surrounding area: Ideal for bike rides and walking. Woods and hiking trails on site, Chavanon river nearby.

Traveller access:
The kota is 130m from the road, we will ask you to park your vehicle in the designated place. We will give you the location when booking.
You have 130m to walk before enjoying your place of relaxation. Easy access and self-arrival by secure key box from 2 p.m.

Other remarks
- Non-smoking accommodation.
- Pets not allowed.
- No parties or parties.
- Accommodation not suitable for babies or young children, there is no railing around the terrace.
- For your comfort, we would like to point out that the maximum height of the shower room is 1.80m in the middle!- Be careful with the head, the kota is not a conventional accommodation!!
- Due to lack of space, the hot water tank is of small capacity. We advise you to take a quick shower and not two in a row...
- Mandatory cleaning to be done at the end of your stay.
- Bed linen and towels provided.
- Bring a lamp to access the kota, as the arrival is not lit.
