House was cozy, good vibe even though it was in a bit of need of updates and cosmetic repair. Terrible kitchen pans and utensils, bring your own. You also must bring your own linens, another consternation., another No wifi. Big issue with the demand we take our trash and no suggestions on as to how to take care oif it. But the lovely strawberry store lets you use their dumpster for a small fee. That info would have made such a difference for us in our checkout procedure. Yay for the strawberry store!
We had a great time fishing and relaxing. Cammie was an amazing host and hope to return again next year.

Thank you so much for your kindness and choosing our cabin for your vacation. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding and meeting us part way in the snow on Christmas Day! I am sorry this message is so tardy. I thought I sent a response to yours a while ago. Have a great summer!
Lovely location! If you want to disconnect from electronics this is the place. With no WiFi, almost no cell service and pretty much nothing on TV you are free to explore the natural beauty of the Sierras!Kitchen is has most everything you need.Great deck to lounge on after hiking or fishing.Could use a few low end amenities like a bath mat for instance. All in all it served our needs.
Check-in was super easy and our hosts communication was very thorough. You can’t beat this location: steps from the river, walking distance to the strawberry store and inn, short drive to Pinecrest and Dodge- they have it all. The bed was extremely comfortable! The kitchen had absolutely everything needed to cook at home, and the cabin was completely stocked with extra things like paper towels, trash bags, cleaners, etc. You can tell the cabin has been well loved over the years, and we got a kick out of the VHS collection. There’s also a bookshelf so I got to read a Babysitters Club Super Special for some real nostalgia! They also had some board games and satellite TV for slow evenings. Great spot, great value.
We stayed here during Thanksgiving and it was perfect for my wife and I and our little daughter. Access was easy and Cammie made sure she was available for questions and was very helpful. Loved the little cozy cabin!

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our cabin and for choosing Strawberry for your vacation. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay!
Enjoyed a few days at the cabin with our family. Dated, but fits the rustic cabin in the woods vibe. Good communication with the property manager. Cabin has essentials and was comfortable after spending the day hiking, fishing, and lounging at Pincrest Lake.

My brothers-in-law and I spent our annual “boys trip” this time at this lovely cabin. During the day we paddled around Pinecrest and, at night, return to our cozy cabin for dinner, drinks, and comfy beds. I look forward to taking my family there next! Thanks to Cammie for a memorable and enjoyable experience

Thank you so much for choosing our cabin for your vacation and for the nice review. So glad you enjoyed the stay and saw the local bear too!! Come back soon.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, however, the interior mechanisms of the gas bbq were rotted out. Luckily we had our portable gas bbq on us we were able to grill on. Otherwise, it was a nice place, adequate to our needs. We enjoyed watching the VHS tapes with our grandkids. Very homey and sweet cabin.

Thank you so much for choosing our cabin and your kind review! We have replaced the bbq with a brand new one and will continue to upgrade the cabin. We truly appreciate your input.
My wife and I spent the week up there.
It was our 2nd time at this cabin, and it was again all that we expected. Very comfortable, clean, quiet, and peaceful!
It's in the perfect location, somewhat secluded, but close to a store, restaraunt, Pincrest Lake, and deep in the beautiful Stanislaus Forrest.
We've stayed at this property twice now, in the late Summer, and we will definitely visit again in the Fall and/or Winter.
Also, Cammie, our host, is very responsive and accommodating. A definite plus!

Thank you so much for returning to our cabin. It meant so much to us that you have chosen our cabin for your vacation! Thank you for your kind words! We are grateful for your continued support. Come back soon!
Great place -- cozy, cute decor, nice to have the fireplace. Kids loved the big selection of books and games and stuffed animals. Comfortable beds. Small but workable kitchen, nice large dining table to eat together. Nice back patio. Very convenient to Dodge Ridge for skiing (<10min drive). Washer/dryer. A little inconvenient to bring our own linens, but not a big deal. Also lack of cell/wifi is tough, but that is the case in many parts of Stanislaus. Very helpful and responsive host! Would stay here again!

Spent a weekend at the Strawberry Cabin. We were hiking and fishing farther up 108. It was a nice place to come back to and unwind and relax. There was a storm that came through and the power shut off for the night in the entire neighborhood so just in case bring some flashlights or battery lantern. Even with the power off we used the gas bbq to cook our breakfast and heat water for coffee in the morning. We will definitely consider returning again. Host Cammie was very good with all communications.

John, Thank you so much for choosing our cabin for your vacation. We are delighted that you enjoyed it even with the power outage and would consider returning! Thank you for taking the time to write the review and for your kind words.
Cute little Strawberry House. The pros: Great location, walk in distance to the Stanislaus River, Strawberry market and inn. 5 min drive to Dodge Ridge and Pine Crest Lake. It covers all your basic needs. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking if you bring your own groceries. The cons: No Internet and poor phone reception, so you will not be able to work remotely from the house if you need to. You can use Internet at the Strawberry Market or the Strawberry Inn. You need to bring your bed sheets and towels and take your own garbage with you.
Wife and decided to take a last-minute trip on the weekend of 10/20-10/22. Noted the home was not available and contacted the host. Cammie was very accommodating and allowed us the stay the weekend. We did some hiking and fishing near the home and also on the middle fork up near Kennedy Meadows. As expected we had a nice time and appreciated staying there. Suggestion, there is a dvd and VCR player so bring a movie with you. There are dvd and vcr movies there but most are children's movies. Thank you Cammie.

About the host
Hosted by Cammie
We have been coming to the Strawberry Pinecrest area for many years and were fortunate to have found this cabin in 2003.
Why they chose this property
It is close to the Stanislaus River and Dodge Ridge Resort. We fly fish and spin cast at the river during the fishing season and ski during ski season. We use the cabin year round. During the ski season, we can get to the cabin without having to drive the added hours, travel the extra miles and fight the traffic to get to Tahoe.
What makes this property unique
The cabin is simple, cozy, comfortable, and close to fishing and skiing areas. We enjoy the hiking, the outdoors, and tranquility of being away from the big cities, yet still having the amenities of home.
The owners of this property use this home frequently for personal use and have severe pet allergies. For this reason, the owners cannot accommodate service animals.
