We stayed at this property for the AV Pinot Festival and found the property to be in excellent, clean condition with a fully stocked kitchen. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to relax and getaway
Perfectly serene natural surroundings and such a beautiful view with a really well kept up place. I wish I lived here.
Great views and a wonderful setting. Private and secluded, but also not far from town. Check-in and communication were easy. Would definitely recommend!
We had the best stay at the property! Jeff and Trey were so communicative and provided the best experience. The house is beautiful and comfortable- so well stocked for a relaxing stay. The surrounding property was so great to have access to swimming, soaking in the outdoor tub, relaxing on the hammock and just enjoying the peaceful outdoors with patio furniture. I can't wait to stay here again!
When you combine a truly lovely property with exceptionally responsive and kind hosts, you can't help but have a lovely stay. That was our experience at the DogWood cottage.
The cottage sits in an idyllic setting, and the cottage did not lack for anything. The owners clearly had put a great deal of thought into everything a guest would need (even our four-legged guests).
We LOVED our stay and cannot wait to return!
Host experience was great - very detailed instructions provided for check-in and check-out. The house was spotless and welcoming and even had a few items in the fridge that were greatly appreciated! The bathtubs (both the inside and out) were the stars and made the trip that much more relaxing. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a modern and cozy place to unwind.
Beautiful spot with gorgeous views out every window---and lots of places for our dog to explore. Kitchen was supplied with everything you could ever need, and the wood stove is easy to use, making the living area very cozy. We would definitely return---

Fantastic hideaway, relaxing and peaceful.
We loved our stay at Welshwood in the lead up to our wedding. It was just what we needed! It’s a peaceful setting secluded in the beautiful outdoors. The actual building is very modern and sleek with large windows throughout. We will be back!

Thank you so much for such a nice review. I hope you have a successful wedding and marriage.
This is the only property that my husband and I have ever stayed at more than once! We had a wonderful first visit last year and just came home from an even more amazing second visit. The property is beautiful, and the house has everything you need with views from every window. We traveled with our two dogs who had the absolute best weekend there! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place -- we will definitely be back again! Thank you for sharing this beautiful place with us.
While the pictures do it justice, the feeling of being on this wide open property is wonderful, especially with the outdoor tub on a hot day. Like everyone else, the only thing missing is a sofa, even a loveseat. Thank you!

Barbara wa the perfect guest. Thanks for coming and come back soon.
This property is amazing! Perched on a hill with great views. Very private ! The house is equipped with all you need after a long day of wine tasting. Will definitely be coming back soon.. thanks Jeff for the constant communication with answers to all of our questions.
Perched on a narrow ridge with commanding views of the surrounding hills, Dogwood Cottage is the perfect getaway. The house has windows all around to take advantage of those views. It is obvious that a lot of thought and planning went into the house design and furnishings. And the lake! It was the ideal temperature for a hot August day. That the lake is professionally maintained is apparent in the freshness of the water. Some sort of floatation device and sunscreen are all you need for the ultimate in relaxation. I definitely recommend a stay here.
This is honestly the coolest house maybe I’ve stayed in after accumulating some rentals over recent years. Awesome small house with perfect layout and amenities, including indoor and outdoor tubs. Large windows with views of oaks, madrones, and little valleys with a cute pond. Seems to be completely fenced in—so we will bring our dog next time for sure. Just 15” to Ukiah and should be fairly easy to Boonville although with the ‘bomb cyclone” we mostly hunkered down and very much enjoyed ourselves in place.
Many thanks to the owners who were extremely accessible and helpful. Hope to come back soon!

We look forward to seeing you again soon, ESPECIALLY with your pup! Woof! So happy that you were able to experience such a special time (the beginning of the rainy season) at DogWood, especially the baths! :) See you soon!
Wow! Wow! Wow! We were looking for a quiet getaway with the dogs and couldn't have found a better place! Situated on a serene and lovely hill with a spectacular view of a pond with tall trees around, we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at Dogwood. The location is perfect - 15 minutes from Ukiah and about 20 minutes to Boonville. So, your stay is in a private, secluded place but you are minutes away from wineries, restaurants, and other fun stuff. Everything in the place is first class - from furniture to appliances to dishes to linens. The morning sunlight just fills this place with a warm glow, and we just had the best time! But the absolute best part of this place is how wonderful it is for dogs! Your pups will love exploring the hillside, and the property is fenced so you don't have to worry about them running off after critters. We didn't make it down to the pond (we went at the height of summer and there were a fair amount of foxtails near it) but I'm sure your pups will love it too! Finally, Jeff and Trey were just great. Thanks!

Beautiful Location
Beautiful spot above a small lake. The beds were very comfortable, the house is clean and modern. It is as pictured. The reason for 4 stars is that it is not a very comfy place to hang out in. There were 3 of us and there were only 2 comfy chairs. Really too bad there's not a couch. We also struggled with the hot water. No matter which way we tried it and how long it ran we couldn't get hot water in the kitchen or smaller bedroom. It is the country so I know not everything runs as efficiently as other places. It is a great location though and would recommend if you are looking for something simple and conveniant.

Jenny,
I'm sorry you had trouble with the water. We went up to check and found the hot water working just fine. The water pressure in the kitchen sink has been fixed. The internet was also working. I do have plans to put another chair in the house but a couch really wouldn't fit. I'm glad you like the setting and I hope you'll come back again.

A magical place!
I stayed here for 4 nights/5 days with my Golden Retriever just before Thanksgiving. I was a little apprehensive driving to Ukiah because my reservation coincided with the bad air quality days resulting from the Camp Fire. But, from the moment I arrived, all those fears vanished. I could not believe the spectacular 360 degree hillside views, the seclusion, the acres and acres of golden land, the views to and easy access to Piano Lake, the modern-styled guest house with HUGE windows, the fully fenced property --- I could go on and on! My golden retriever had a silly "are you sure we are staying here?" grin from the moment we arrived! My dog and I played around the fenced area, hiked to and from the lake, discovered trails around the meadow -- you name it! The satellite TV signal and internet access were great. The water pressure was strong. Julie provided milk, wine, yummy apple juice, water at the fridge. The guest house is fantastically furnished and looked like those you see on magazines. Oh, how I wished I owned this house so I didn't have to leave! My dog did not want to leave either and gave me a woeful look as we left. Just a magical stay at a magical place! Thanks, Julie, we will be back regularly!
This property is so peaceful, gorgeous and relaxing! So close to everything, yet you feel like your away from it all. The house is well stocked, with all the modern convenient taken into account and the view was awesome.
What a wonderful place to stay! I cannot say enough good things about this cottage and the absolutely breathtaking land around it. My husband and I (and our dogs) stayed here for a weekend and had the most relaxing stay. The house was clean and well stocked and perfect for our dogs. The views out of the floor to ceiling windows were spectacular and we took full advantage of the trails that were right outside the house. Our dogs had a blast swimming in the pond! The owners were so welcoming, both before and during our stay, and were extremely responsive to any questions or concerns we had while staying at the cottage. Within the first couple hours, we were already planning the best time to come back again. Thank you Trey, Jeffrey, Basil, and George for sharing such a wonderful place!
Nice, small house for 4 adults! Comfortable beds, good sheets and pillows. Kitchen has everything you need. Medium drive from Anderson Valley wineries, but definitely doable, and it’s nicely remote in the evening.
Check-in and checkout were the easiest we’ve had on Vrbo (in 10+ years of renting).
The house is a perfect combination of modern touches, efficiency, and comfort. Everything is so thoughtfully appointed and it may be the most well stocked kitchen of any rental house where we have stayed. We thoroughly enjoyed cooking, watching movies, and hiking around the ranch for a couple of days before we mustered up the will to go into town and encounter people again. The property is spacious and beautiful. Our dog enjoyed it so much that I think he's depressed we came home.
My husband and I spent a relaxing holiday week at Dogwood and would go back in a heartbeat. Jeff and Trey are terrific hosts and go above and beyond to ensure guests have what they need. They provide clear instructions about the property ahead of time and helpful recommendations to maximize your stay, whatever your interest. The pictures of the property are great and it is even better in person: clean and spacious, with a chef's kitchen and a bottle of bubbly waiting in the fridge. It has excellent internet connectivity, a cozy fireplace and jumbo tvs should you find yourself with a rainy (snowy!) day or two like we did. The property is fenced and our dog had the best time running around, and the walk from the house to the main gate is just long enough should you need a walk/run before heading out to Boonville and beyond. Dogwood Cottage is one of the best of the many VRBO properties that we've stayed in over the years. Thanks again, Jeff and Trey!
It was an absolute beautiful stay. The hosts were so communicative and helpful. They have a very well stocked abode and really care about making sure you have a good experience. The sunrises were majestic, the occasional acorn dropping on the roof was whimsical and the location is heavenly. The only recommendation I would make is to have window coverings for the master bath, as the area outside is a shared space, so just be sure to let everyone know when your taking a shower/bath as they are exposed. I have zero stars for checking in because of VRBO failing to send me the check in information, this was not the hosts fault. The hosts are marvelous.

Hi Garrett - So happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at DogWood....yes, LOTS of Fall activity right now with the sunrises/sets, changing Fall colors and those acorns! :). Appreciate the suggestion on the window coverings, we are one it based on other comments in fact The Shade Store is arriving Monday after Thanksgiving. Also, Vrbo confirmed that they corrected their synching issue so good news there as well...something to do with the change of your e-mail address from when you originally booked. Thanks again and we look forward to hosting your family friends again soon! Jeff
