The home was super clean, the kitchen had everything you need, the outdoor area was nice. There was plenty of room for my family, in-laws, and our son's girlfriends. A great place near creeks to explore, super close to Lake Tenkiller.

The home was very disappointing, overpriced and several of the listing photos were not accurate. Would not stay here again. •not accurate to listing •literal sheetrock pieces on the floor upon arrival•dead bugs on the floor upon arrival•exterior door that wouldn’t latch without dead bolting•gaps in exterior door •bedroom door hardly closed at all; finally got it to close but not without a racket every time we opened and closed it•back patio not accurate to listing photo•ran out of trash bags and had to use a cardboard box for trash •home needs a thorough deep cleaning•dirty skillet •live centipede in master suite•live spider inside a “clean” towel•lots and lots of bugs/spiders inside the house•more of the ceiling fell during our stay•very overpriced •would not stay again Positives are:•outdoor fire pit area •trundle beds for toddlers •extra fridge

This is a great property and host at Tenkiller Lake!!! We had a group of 12 (mostly kids) and the property was wonderful for them!!! The host is fantastic with EXCELLENT communication and answered all.our questions and made sure the property was sufficient. There is a huge yard, outdoor firepit, and indoor ping pong table. We would definitely stay here again!!! Excellent host!!!!

Our host was responsive and welcoming. Our stay was overall peaceful and quiet aside from a neighbor's dog the roams freely and barked outside our windows our first night. The pingpong table was a blast!

We booked this for a womens retreat as we attended a medical conference. The decor was really nice. Sadly the property needs work. I would not say it is secluded as there are neighbors across the street you can see from the front door. While there, we encountered 6-7 centipedes, 2 scorpions, a handful of spiders, & thousands of moths & gnats inside the home over our stay. We followed all the instructions about no lights on after dusk, used the bug spray provided, kept all the door shut yet still the bugs just swarmed in from every crack and corner. The beds were covered in tiny black bugs like gnats of some sort. We really could not enjoy the property. There was no reason to complain to the homeowner because we knew there was no quick fix to be done. There is significant exterior & interior work to be done to the property to keep that amount of bugs out of the house. A company out to spray is just not going to cut it. Once those changes are made it will be a cute little house worth revisiting.

Oh, this is heartbreaking to hear!!! Because this is a lake-area home surrounded by nature, seasonal insects can unfortunately be an issue, which is why we disclose this in our listing and have several preventative measures in place. The home is professionally treated inside and outside quarterly, we use additional indoor pest-control plug-in devices, and provide insect spray for guests. We also leave information in the home regarding nighttime lighting, as lights can attract large numbers of flying insects during certain times of year. Based on your experience, we will also have our pest-control provider evaluate the home again for any additional areas that may need to be sealed or treated. We did want to clarify the comment regarding seclusion for future guests. The home sits on approximately two acres with no neighboring homes on three sides. There is one home across the road, although our house sits well back from the road with a driveway over 150 feet long. We appreciate your compliments about the décor and are genuinely disappointed that the insect activity during your visit overshadowed the rest of your stay. We will continue looking for ways to minimize this challenge while maintaining a home in such a natural lake setting.

Fun lake weekend

This was our 2nd time to stay at Anchor Away. The boat ramp is super close and there is plenty of room to spread out. Also, having 2 refrigerators is super helpful with a crowd!

Great place to stay

The house was perfect for our group of 6 guys. We were there fishing a kayak fishing tournament. There was plenty of parking and the house had everything we needed. The ping-pong table was a huge bonus. The hosts were very accommodating and quick to respond to any inquiries.

Excellent Property!!

We had three families of four for the weekend and we were all comfortable with our own space. We enjoyed having two refrigerators! There was ample parking for our vehicles and boat trailer. Cookson Bend Marina is only about a 10 minute drive away. Would stay here again!!

I’m so sorry to hear that. We do have the home treated by professional Exterminator monthly. But I understand it can be frustrating. I’ve talked to my cleaner, the only other thing we can think of is to leave out bug foggers for guests to use and enjoy their vacation. Thanks for the feedback, I hope we can do better next time. Five star reviews are so important to a small business owners, and we will strive to do better.

Family Pictures

We needed a place to meet up and spend the day with our grown children and grandchildren who were coming in from others states and towns. This house worked great for us! The older kids loved the game room and the large front yard, the 3 babies and 3 toddlers had plenty of bedrooms for power naps. A very nice kitchen and the 2 refrigerators were appreciated!
