This place is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend! I’ve stayed in a lot of rental properties all over the nation and this is by for the best! It has everything you need and more.
We had an excellent time with 2 other couples. Rooms were roomy and loved having a shower and toilet for each bedroom. The setting was awesome with a beautiful view. Boat dock was great! It had electricity and we were able to recharge batteries without loading the boats. A/C was wonderful and worked well, I would recommend this cabin to everyone! Great experience!

So glad your group enjoyed their stay! Thank you for your kind review!
If you have found your way to this listing…BOOK IT! We have stayed at so many rentals and none have come close to level of value we received with The Deckhouse! The home was well equipped with everyday items we would need like trash bags, spices, ice, etc. and lots of cozy areas to hang out in. We traveled with our 3 teenage boys and played cornhole on the balcony while grilling most meals with the beautiful view, went out on the kayaks and peddle boat for fishing and sunset views and lounged around the huge living room windows too. The layout was so perfect and with all the things to do, we never left during our 4 day stay! We cannot wait to be back!

The host was very nice and answered all questions and was informative about the area. The cabin was very clean and the view was absolutely beautiful. Our children range from 8 to 21 and they had a blast at the boat dock /swim dock. We enjoyed the kayaks and the paddle boat. It is a long haul up and down the steps to the lake but worth it! It was an easy drive from Norman, OK. We can’t wait to go back!

Thank you for your kind words, Cristy! You took some beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Everything was great. House was clean, fully stocked, and right on the water. We were able to tie the boat up and fish from the dock. While we were there the sand bass were running up and down the cove so even the ones on the dock was able to catch fish the whole time. We will be looking to stay again with out a doubt.
Gorgeous location. Super clean home. More than enough room for 6 adults. Had all the essentials!
Loved having our own dock for the boat and sea doo.
I have to say, the trek from the house down to the dock isn’t for the weak. It’s definitely worth it though! Could have stayed our entire weekend sitting on the dock with a line in the water! Overall exceeded our expectations!!
Julie is an attentive and thoughtful host. The wall of windows is amazing. We were there at just the right time to enjoy the fall colors of nature. Lots of games and televisions to keep everyone entertained. The kitchen had everything we needed. We used the firepit and made smores. We didn't take advantage of all the water activities but the boat deck is well stocked with life jackets, kayak, paddle boat, etc. Truly, we did not want to leave!
We booked this house for a couple nights over Spring Break. I was fishing in a tournament that week, so we made a mini vacation out of it with the kids.
The house is incredibly convenient to Chicken Creek. The view of Terrapin Creek has to be one of the best on the entire lake. The fishing in this cove is also quite good. There were at least 20 fishing kayaks using this area in the tournament I was in, because folks were catching very high quality bass.
My kids had a blast. They were at the dock or on the water the entire time. They caught 6-7 bass from the owner’s kayaks (they are experienced kayakers and fisherman).
The deck and sitting area inside the house are wonderful. The grill and all the stuff on the deck were so nice. We didn’t use the fire pit because we were exhausted, but that area was perfect for relaxing.
Everything was very well stocked, clean, etc. The inside was very nice too, but we were there for the outside space!
We’ve stayed in a lot of VRBO’s, and I can honestly say that Julie has been the most accommodating host we’ve ever encountered. It was very clear that she wanted our stay to be perfect. You can just tell, these are good people. If anything would have been “less than perfect”, I have no doubt that she would have bent over backwards to help. However, we didn’t have to worry about that, because our stay was awesome!
Julie, we wish you all the best with this house. You should be very proud of it. It’s a gem! Thanks for sharing it with us.
