Great location for a weekend fishing trip. Driveway is teardrop shaped at bottom so it’s easy to loop around towing a boat. Owner was responsive and helpful.
My partner, brother, pup, and mom stayed a few days while visiting Smith Mountain Lake. The property is beautiful, the house is cozy and was a perfect amount of space for all of us. We also had a nice view of the tail end of the peak of the Perseids meteor shower. We would stay again if visiting the area.
Five relatives stayed in this home for a family reunion in the close by state park. We were pleased with the home - clean, well stocked, comfortable beds (!). Easy to locate and great communication with the owner. Beautiful secludedsetting with visiting wildlife.
We loved staying here. The privacy and proximity were more than we expected. The owner was always willing to answer any questions we had and was so personable, not like other owners. The beds we not all that comfortable, but with everything else being so perfect we didn’t mind. Other than that the stay was perfect, we will be back.
This property was incredible. We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere but had all the convinences we needed within a 15 minutes drive. The home was great an had all the utensils required to fix cook any meal desired. Bill was a terrific host! We are looking forward to visiting the area again.
Easy check in, nice to have bath towels and linens, hand soap provided. Beds were very soft. It is pretty private with surrounding woods but only 5 min from gas station. There was a coffee pot and filters. Also we found a keurig under the counter but we didn’t have K cups to test it. We had to stay attentive with our crawling youngest to keep him from trying to touch the living room tv. Bill was very communicative. Overall we enjoyed our time there.
Owner was very nice. He tried to communicate but the VRBO website is very bad. I tried 6 or 7 times to communicate back but the website was not responsive. I would way rather book directly.
My father and I stayed here to relax and fish .The leaves in the area is beautiful .Fishing was great and the ramps at the house was perfect for my handicapped father.
We rented the house for family because our home is to small to accommodate every one
My family notified me immediately of how awesome it was.. I was able to visit the property and was very satisfied , clean and comfortably furnished. Family had a question for the owner and was unable to get in touch until no longer needed. Would not hamper us from using again .

My wife and I stayed at this property a few weeks back and found it to be clean and secluded, perfect for a relaxing stay. The host was quick to reply and friendly. The wildlife was amazing to watch, and the nearby lake was fun to explore. Highly recommend!
My wife and I along with a family friend was looking to get away for a few days to just relax and recuperate in a more country setting. This provided a nice, quiet and peaceful experience. Bill was a great host. He sought to make our experience as comfortable and convenient as possible. The area was lovely and the lake near by is nice place to go to as well.
