After getting settled inside the Hay Loft it was an immediate message to the owner to advise them that the property had already exceeded expectations!!! Much time and use of the loft deck
We had a wonderful stay! The grounds are beautiful with several walking trails and a pond. The deck was the perfect place to have morning coffee and evening wine.
We had a lovely time sitting out on perfectly shaded hayloft deck, walking over and fishing at the pond and grilling in the late afternoon. This place is special and gave us wonderful memories.
We had a wonderful time at Cheryl ’s Hallsville property. The location is peaceful and beautiful. We made s’mores at the fire pit and enjoyed the clean accommodations. Would definitely stay again, it’s an East Texas ranch gem.
We had a great time at the Hayloft. Roasted marshmallows hung out by the fire pit took walks loved the comfort and great amenities. Cooked our Thanksgiving dinner on site and it turned out great highly recommend the Hay Loft
The Hayloft was perfect for our restful weekend. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. We loved hanging out on the front porch. Cheryl was very nice and available to answer any questions.
This was a great getaway for me, my wife, and our dog Daisy. It was so quiet, peaceful, and very relaxing to be in the country away from all the business we experience in a metroplex like Dallas. So grateful for out time in the Hayloft and all the wonderful accommodations. I have to say the gigantic patio overlooking the property was spectacular. If you are interested, we highly recommend you stay in the Hayloft.
What a great place to experience east Texas at its finest. The just being able to go to a convention during the day and unplug at night was awesome. We will be coming back!
My husband and I stayed here together; although the cabin is roomy enough to accommodate more people. It was a perfect spot for us to enjoy a long weekend away. The location is peaceful, quiet and a very short and easy drive to Longview and I-20. The cabin was furnished nicely with all the necessities and most importantly it was clean! We had the opportunity to meet the owner and her adult daughter; they could not have been any nicer. Next time we stay here, we will bring our dog instead of boarding him. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.
This was a great place to unwind for our family. We enjoyed the walking trails (especially with Gavel leading the way), and fishing at the pond. We hoped to spend quite a bit of time in the early mornings on the deck but the furniture was really dirty and had ants eating dead bugs in areas. I swept and wiped down the furniture and deck the best I could but still wasn’t comfortable using the seating. We enjoyed the views standing instead. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the owners of the property were friendly. We would visit again.
This cabin was absolutely beautiful with a breathtaking nature view from the deck including a fully stocked private pond on a 55-acre ranch which is a wildlife preserve. It is recently remodeled with so many neat and cozy features. Loved the smell of cedar throughout the cabin. The privacy and land is priceless in addition to close proximity to shopping, grocery stores, and restaurants. The home was well stocked and accommodating for our family. We had a great stay and would highly recommend to others. We enjoyed watching DVD's with the kids and there is lots to do in the area. Next time I would like to visit Jefferson, kayak on Caddo Lake, and enjoy some of the many outdoor activities available in the area. The owners do a really great job making this the best stay possible!
We were in town to perform at a State Championship at the Hallsville High School and wanted to stay locally nearby. The Hayloft was 7 minutes away, perfect location.
Loved the location, property and the owner’s communication.
It took 4 trips up and down the stairs to get everything unloaded, and wished that the on-site electric hoist would have been offered to us to get our luggage and groceries up to the second story facility which is only accessible by a exterior flight of stairs to check in and check out.
Other wise this was such a FUN place to chill after we were done for the day, to enjoy our Win and Family conversations and Movies.
A cozy space surrounded by trees and a peaceful quiet, yet easy to get to local restaurants and conveniences. It’s nice to be high up and relax on the large porch - just great!
Great dog-friendly place to stay. It was well marked and easy to find. They did a great job with the rustic Texas themed decor and details. We loved it!
Easy to find and we’re new to the area. This place is so very peaceful and relaxing. We’re older, so the stairs, we knew would be a lot. There are steep and I believe 24 steps. Thankful the handrails helped a lot. The views from any and every angle are just beautiful. A/C works great. Cable, internet and communication were great. Bed was comfy. Our main complaint was pulling duty dish, flatware and glasses/cups from the cabinets (with mice feces)…. We had to wash more than we used just to be safe. By previous guests, had to be the only answer, left completely dirty dishes with food stuck on, in the cabinets. Or else the dishwasher is truly bad. Stuff was dirty and I understand we pay a cleaning fee, but cleaning is not a priority. The shower curtain needs a good wash with bleach, it’s pretty stained from various sources. I washed towels and left bleach behind for the next persons, or cleaners. Orders were very nice and they were informed about the dishes and grime. Fridge/microwave also needed cleaned. They apologized and I’m sure they don’t want a negative review and they aren’t getting one. We enjoyed our stay here. It’s serene and beautiful and a true relaxing getaway. Paper plates, disposable utility flat wear and cups would be great to have handy. Make things easier for everyone.
