Our visit to D.C.

I intended to rent a condo instead of a hotel so that I could cook the majority of our stay and not have to eat out everyday/night. That was very difficult since you don't have ANY baking sheets, a decent size casserole dish, and only have one skillet, no broiler pan, and not enough dishes and silverware therefore we had to run the dishwasher daily whether it was full or not. I think the condo is very nice just not adequately furnished, and I think the windows should have had some kind of drapes to be able to make a room darker during the day if needed. And we were also awakened EVERY morning to a neighbor either above or below doing some heavy duty remodling.

This was a great find - location is easy to get in and out of. Condo was clean and fresh, the owners were great! Lots of easy to get to restaurants within walking distance, even in the cold. Unbeatable value!

Wow is the only way to describe this place! The national Harbor is minutes from everything yet peacefully off the beaten track. The condo has everything you need plus washer & dryer and a dedicated parking space available to rent. The place has a gym, pool, and several common area lounges. The other condo owners are friendly toward renters too. Chris and Tamara are a great resource, like having family in DC. Hints for travelers: if you drive, park free on the street if you arrive at 9-9:30 am. Constitution Avenue is right on the mall. Vendors are reasonable. (we paid $7 for 2 hot dogs and a bottled lemonade). Tuesday is free day at the museum of natural History. Our kids enjoyed the spy museum (pricey) Lots of free stuff to do on the Mall and on weekends at the Harbor. Elevation Burger is awesome! Best fries ever and the milkshakes are unbelievably thick my lime one was sooo refreshing! The America Store is the best for high quality souvineers and take your own pictures with Obama or Palin figures. In August the Harbor looked more like San Diego than I imagined MD would look. We got loads of great photos! It gets hot so we spent afternoons in the pool. Don't expect to see everything on one trip. Plan to return, we do and we will stay here unless it is already booked- its very popular and bargain priced! There were 5 of us 2 seniors, an adult a teen boy and a preteen girl. We all had a great time, I am sure you will too.

Great Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at National Harbor. It's fresh and new with lots of great places to eat. Fireworks on Saturday night were an added treat for the kids. The condo was very well maintained and the property itself is very safe. Chris and Tamera were there to great us and were very helpful with information regarding the Harbor and D.C. We'd definitely recommend to those traveling to D.C. with or without children.

DC vacation

My family and I stayed here to mainly visit DC attractions. The condo and National Harbor area was beautiful. The condo was very clean. It was minutes away from DC and easy access to retail stores when needed. My family and I would stay again.

Excellent Stay

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. It was the perfect location for our family of two adults & two children. The owners went out of their way to make sure our trip was terrific - from helping us find a driver into DC for an early morning tour to supplying us with extra coffe for the fun coffee maker! Great Accommodations! Our party of four adults spent a wonderful seven days seeing the sights of Washington DC while staying at the National Harbor condo and were pleasantly pleased with the accommodations. The owner met us at the condo upon our arrival and went out of her way to be sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The condo was spotless and supplied with everything one could possibly need for the week. The residents of the building were very friendly in the public areas. The variety of restaurants and shops within steps of the front door were fun and convenient. The public transportation from National Harbor into DC and Alexandria was also very convenient. We even discovered a free trolley into DC that could be pick up a half a block from the condo. We will surely be back for another stay.

OUTSTANDING STAY!!!!!!!! We took our 80year old mother to DC to see the sights. We had a wonderful stay in this condo. It was beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location was perfect! Just steps from a large varieity of shops, resturants, the habor and all differant types of transportation. The owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We have used VRBO in the past and have have had very nice stays. We will defiantly reccommed and refer this condo to all. I would give this a 10 diamond rating!!!!!!!!!!

The layout worked well for our needs, and the neighborhood was safe, perfect for allowing our small town teenagers to spread their wings a little. Try the gelato shop! You can drive to two different subway stations in about 15 minutes, depending on your destination in the city. We look forward to returning. Recommended for: Families with Teenagers, Sightseeing, Age 55+, Families with Young Children

The purpose of our trip was DC sightseeing and was an easy commute from National Harbor to downtown or to Metro Stations.
