About this property

Welcome to the Lakeview Cottage! Our house is centrally located and the perfect spot to explore the best of Southern Ontario. Situated in a lakeside community, we are a short distance away to downtown Kingsville, local beaches, restaurants, shops, groceries, and roadside fresh produce. We are also close to many destinations - Pelee Island, beaches, parks, and amazing wineries and breweries (some within walking distance). We hope you enjoys your stay in our beautiful and relaxing home!

Note: We are located in a quiet residential community and would kindly ask all guests to be considerate of the quiet hour between 10pm to 7am as per the town's bylaw (especially in the backyard when the weather is nice).

BEDROOMS
We have three bedrooms on the second floor, each with the option of both memory foam pillows or down filled pillows. Our master room also includes dressing area/den for those who enjoys the process of getting ready for the day or any special events/weddings that brings you to the area :)

The home is equipped with all essentials needed to enjoy your stay, including bedding, towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

LIVING SPACE
We have two living room space on each side of the hallway. One living room is open to the kitchen with gas fireplace, perfect for those who enjoy hanging out with a glass of wine, reading book (or both). Our family room is across the hall and has a smart TV for those who wants to cozy up and watch some Netflix or Disney+.

Our kitchen has all the essential cooking utensils and appliances in case you opt to cook. It is also well-stocked with a variety of spices and oils, feel free to use!

Our bright dining room is right next to the kitchen. The windows perfectly frame the beautiful backyard oasis, ensuring you get a bit of nature even when you are inside.

OFFICE SPACE
If you need to work remotely, feel free to use the office space in the den. An extra monitor is available for you to connect your work laptop or computer via HDMI cable. The entire house have access to WiFi connection.

OUTDOOR SPACE
The outdoor space includes a patio, surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers. Feel free to use the BBQ to cook up a feast and enjoy the outdoor dining area.

Tres belle emplacement, près des services.

We are very happy to have this superb residence for a second year. Our host Meg is always listening to us and responds very quickly to our requests. The house is very clean and full of amenities. I recommend her without hesitation. Nous sommes très heureux d’avoir cette superbe résidence pour une deuxième année. Notre hôte Meg, est toujours à notre écoute et répond très rapidement à nos demandes. La maison est très propre et pleine de commodités. Je vous la recommande sans hésitation.

Ontario Florida paradise

Positive comments: -the interior positively surpassed our expectation as it relates to the decor, the little surprises provided such as the Peele Wine, the goodies, games, the access to creams, makeup remover etc, the Conservation Parks pass, easy entry code, Netflix etc. , comfortable throws everywhere, even Nespresso maker for those who like it. -well organized recycling and garbage can, tourism information was very thoroughly appreciated Negative comments: -had to purchase bath soap since there was not much, had to purchase Comet to wash the kitchen sink screens and plugs which were thoroughly disgusting, we like baths instead of showers, and the glass enclosure did not permit easy access to the faucets. We had to enter the bath to fill it, we also do not like duvets, especially in this heat, and there were no sheets other than contour sheets, so we used a duvet cover instead, a radio for music would be nice; the dining room chairs were dirty enough to warrant a good steam cleaning, not too appealing.....we were really disappointed in the back garden. It was really overgrown, the patio chairs cushions were really a disgrace, filthy dirty, bird poo, holes and one had mole; the deck itself could have used a good power washing, some stones were actually black. I did hose the stones but it did not help much -I did clean out the bird bath, and watered the plants in the back garden, but not the rest of them. They really needed watering, and I understand that it had been quite warm and dry the last few weeks. Some things can't be helped. -the wrought iron table had bird poo on it also, I hosed it down, but the matter stayed on it. -in the upstairs bathroom, nothing was provided to wash the bath and sink. It would be nice if there had been rags and cleansers left under the sink, dish towels and dish cloths were few I would recommend that all the outdoor chairs and the table be covered with plastic covers to be presentable for the next users, or, in the alternative, that a big plastic container be provided outside to store the cushions. All this said, I must say that when our friends visited, they were enthralled with how beautifully staged the house was, and with all that was provided, and they would recommend their son to rent from you when he visits. We will absolutely book with you again if our life permits. We loved our stay other than the garden.

Quaint cottage, centrally located

This cottage was well equipped, spacious and very well appointed. Our host Meng was superb and had the cottage welcome guide book extremely well organized. Communication with Meng was supper efficient.

We are a couple who loves to travel, eat and explore. While we have been to more than 17 countries combined in our past travels (and hopefully more in the future), Canada holds a special place in our heart with its beautiful nature, eclectic food and wine, and the kindest people we know. Luckily, we found all those in Kingsville, which is why we can't wait to share our vacation home with family, friends, and fellow travelers!

Why they chose this property

Our cottage is situated in a quiet neighbourhood near the lake. We decorated our place to create a relaxing, beachy vibe. You will feel like you are on vacation when you step in! If you do need to work, we have a full work station set up in the den (most wineries and breweries operate during the week, so after work drinks are still possible!)

We love how bright our house is with lots of windows, sky lights to let in natural light Photos always turn out so well in our place for those who needs to snap some photos before going to your special event or wedding.

While we don't have direct lake access, we don't feel like we are missing out as we can see the lake from our house and we can easily access parks and beaches by walking or driving.
