About this property
Day's End Cottage: Peaceful, Charming & Clean. No cleaning fee!
This quaint cottage built in 1935 is a cozy place to find peace and quiet while also being close to Cincinnati attractions. The charming details, fully-equipped kitchen, and serene surroundings make this cottage an ideal space to unwind. Recent renovations coupled with vintage décor give it a historical feel without sacrificing modern comfort. Close to parks, restaurants & stores and 7 minutes from I-275 allows easy access to downtown or to attractions like the Creation Museum and King's Island.
Our cottage is an inviting and eccentric space. The patio garden is a beautiful place to sit and read, especially when the flowers are blooming. The mattresses are comfortable and the house was recently updated so it is fresh and clean. All linens (including blankets and comforters) and bathroom rugs are cleaned between guests. We also provide free WiFi and YouTube TV with 85+ channels.
No cleaning fee!
Please note that due to the house being almost 90 years old, the staircase leading to the bedrooms upstairs is on the steeper side and is not ideal for those with physical limitations.
Our neighborhood feels rural, but it is a quick drive to stores and restaurants. The cottage is located in a woodsy area and shares space with the local flora and fauna. As with any natural setting, you may see deer, bugs, bees, squirrels, etc.
Our place is a great option if you’re looking to get away from it all, while still being able to access everything. There are several nice parks with bike trails, hiking trails, and frisbee golf nearby. We are a quick 10 minute drive to restaurants and stores and a 25 minute drive to downtown Cincinnati.
Here are approximate driving times to other local attractions:
Creation Museum- 25 minutes
Ark Encounter- 1 hour
TQL Stadium: 27 minutes
King’s Island- 25 minutes
Perfect North Slopes- 30 minutes
Cincinnati Zoo- 25 minutes
Nat’l Underground Railroad Freedom Center- 25 minutes
Newport Aquarium- 30 minutes
Green Acres Kayak- 20 minutes
Tippecanoe Kayak- 15 minutes
Oxford- 30 minutes
Hamilton- 18 minutes
It is important to note that the cottage only has two parking spaces and there is no space for parking on the road.
There are two outdoor safety cameras in use on the property, one near the front door and one on the northwest corner of the house.
We do not allow animals at our property for safety reasons. While we do allow bookings with children, we want to caution guests that the cottage is not baby/toddler proofed. There are delicate decorations and antique furniture that is not anchored to the wall, no baby gates on the steps, and no locks on cabinets or the stove. By requesting to book with young children, the guest acknowledges any safety hazards and agrees to have small children under adult supervision at all times.

Frequently asked questions
About the host
Hosted by Tricia
My husband, Albin, and I love hosting and making people feel welcomed and at home. Albin is from Costa Rica and I am a Cincinnati native, but we’ve lived both here and there and want to give our friends, family and guests that same feeling of home away from home that has been so comforting to us over the years. ¡Pura Vida!
Why they chose this property
We've put a lot of work and a lot of love into our cottage. This place has been such a gift to us and we want to use it to bless others. A lot of thought went into the furnishing and decorations, and a lot of time is put into making it a place where guests feel welcomed and at home.
What makes this property unique
We were sold on this cottage because it is unique and everything we were hoping for. There is something about old homes that just calls to us. The kitchen is adorable, the garden patio is peaceful, and the mosaic bathroom is so fun. We think it is the perfect distance to feel like you're in a rural area, but actually be close to everything.
