Wonderful stay

What a unique property right in the center of the town with an amazing family history! Communication in English with Margreth and her husband Josef was excellent. They were very charming and welcoming hosts. The apartment was clean and recently renovated in this 300 yr. old property. There is plenty of space situated over two floors with all amenities included. Parking is right around the corner in a private, gated, underground garage included in the rent. Bars, restaurants, cafes, shopping, and supermarket are just out the door or within a few blocks of this walking friendly town. We will definitely stay again the next time we are in the area.

Noisy

There is a bar next door that plays loud music until midnight. The people there are very loud. There isn't a dryer so you have to hang your clothes in a room without airflow. The property manager made me go to her house first to check in. She knew we didn't have a car.

Response from VrboOwner on 22 Oct 2023
Thank you for your review of our holiday apartment. I'm very sorry that it was so loud in the neighboring restaurant. We wrote to the public order office of the city of St. Wendel asking them to check the curfew and the noise, which we were assured of. Regarding the tumble dryer, I had already informed you in response to your request in the correspondence dated August 15, 2023 that there is no dryer in the holiday apartment. Due to space constraints, we can't put one in the bathroom next to the washing machine. There is also no tumble dryer listed in the description of our apartment on FeWo-direkt. You had also informed me that an uncle would take you from the Moselle to St.Wendel in his car. We therefore asked you to drive to our private apartment, which is only a few minutes' drive (5) from the privateliy underground car park and the apartment, as our underground car park is a bit difficult to find due to the many alleys and one-way streets. We thought we were doing you a favor. I think it's a shame that this led to misunderstandings. I wish you all the best on your further journey through Europe and send you best regards from St.Wendel
