We were a family of 5 and stayed for 9 nights. The home is spacious and has several positives. The Yale lock was very convenient, and the hosts were responsive and accommodating. When we needed a broom and a few other small items, they shipped them over immediately. The pool was great for the kids and not too cold. There were plenty of towels, sheets, comforters, dishes, and silverware. The refrigerator and dishwasher appeared new and were very helpful. The main drawback is that the home feels quite dated and in need of maintenance and a thorough refresh. There are cracks throughout, odors under the sink cabinets, heavy dust around door trim, and an overall feeling that many things have not been updated in 20 years. The backyard furniture looks worn and does not match the photos; the Adirondack chair wobbles, the table tennis table is warped, and the backyard umbrella does not work. The master bedroom carpet is stained and could use deeper cleaning. The coffee maker is old and dirty. The AC struggled to keep the double-bedroom cool, particularly for anyone who prefers sleeping around 68F. The pool house had a smoky or musty smell, and some showerheads need replacement. The oven requires a match and manually lit pilot, which is inconvenient. The pool was great for kids but relatively small and shallow for adults wanting to swim.Overall, the hosts were excellent, but the property itself would benefit significantly from updating, cleaning, and general maintenance.
