Rustic Comfort with Essential Amenities

The first floor features an RV-style kitchen and bath, equipped with a propane-powered hot water heater, refrigerator, gas stove and fireplace for the winter. The dinette conveniently converts into a second bed for additional sleeping space. Step outside to the spacious outdoor patio, where you’ll find a large BBQ grill, picnic table, and firepit—perfect for campfire stories under the stars.

The second story is designed for relaxation, featuring a queen-size bed, desk, and closet. A Kenwood DDX3X sound system with Bose outdoor speakers allows you to Bluetooth connect your phone or enjoy XM radio while taking in the breathtaking views.

• Solar-Powered with Optional Generator – While the lights, kitchen appliances, fireplace and water heater operate on propane and solar power, an ultra-quiet generator is available to run the kitchen and bedroom AC units for warmer months.
• Cozy Fireplace & Outdoor Heating – A gas fireplace with an automatic thermostat keeps the cabin warm on chilly nights, while a potbelly wood-burning stove on the second-story deck adds extra comfort. A firepit with pre-cut wood is also available for the ultimate outdoor experience.
• USB Charging Outlets – Multiple USB ports allow for easy phone charging via solar power and batteries. There is one electrical outlet inside the Treehouse, which requires the generator to be started for operation.

Great place to get-away!

My wife and I had a great stay and very much enjoyed exploring the 80 acres! If you want to unplug and leave the world behind for a little while, this is the place. The small cabin was very cozy, clean, and comfortable and was exactly what we were looking for!

Beautiful area and very comfortable accommodations! No cable or wifi was amazing to unplug and just enjoy nature. No cell service at the house but available up the driveway near the main house. Great stay and would highly recommend!

We give this place 5 stars across the board! A great little place tucked away in the woods. We were really impressed with the cleanliness and thoughtful accommodations i.e DVDs, coffee, quality towel sets and welcome book to name a few. I visited the tree house for a girls weekend and it was more beautiful than I was even expecting. Cindy met me the minute I pulled into the property to lead me back to the house. She was wonderful and gave me very thorough instructions on how to operate the generator, etc. The house is adorable and was so clean. The view was spectacular! We saw many deer and other wildlife and really enjoyed sitting outside by the fully stocked campfire. I highly recommend this location for a getaway with friends or a partner! I’d love to come back again and even try some of the other lodging options such as the rv sites. 10/10!

Exactly what we needed

We spent a weekend at the Treehouse and it was amazing. Beautiful surroundings, very nice, clean and cozy place. It bought us a lot of good childhood memories back . Both the owner and the property manager were very nice , kept checking in making sure we don’t need anything. If you need a place to unwind and get away from technology, this is the place to be. Highly recommend it.

This is off the grid with no Verizon service. Four of us were able to enjoy the outdoors, weather and wildlife as time slowed down for us when disconnecting. Bug spray is strongly suggested, there are mites everywhere outdoors in the woods. The stone path to the lonely river could use some attention. There are some fiesty, fighting catfish lurking in the pond near the lodge. Saw multiple deer every day though they will keep away from the cabin if the generator is on. Overall great place, would like to return again!

Perfect get away

Cindy and Sherry were very communicative and helpful throughout our stay. From the initial booking to right before we left they were easy to contact.The Treehouse is a stunning getaway where you likely won't have phone signal OR internet. It was hard at first to step away but amazing to put your phone down and enjoy the views and the silence. Clean with lots of amenities and beautiful views.You are close to French Lick - 10 minutes or so and it's an easy drive. It was fun to explore the area and then also return to a quiet evening.One of my favorite parts, so many properties essentially ask you to clean the place while then charging you a crazy cleaning fee; they only ask that you take the trash out.We plan to come back in the fall to enjoy the fall weather!

Treehouse Stay

Unique property off the grid, while still close to all the town has to offer. Sherry was very friendly and responsive in our communication, and checked on us during our stay. Be aware that this is generator powered and I am unsure if there are electrical outlets. I believe you need to run extension cords from the generator to plug anything in. The space is extremely small. Which we were totally ok with- but would definitely not suggest more than 2 people. The view from the top floor is great, the wrap around deck and firepit were also a nice touch. We enjoyed staying somewhere different and secluded. Cool spot!

Leah - Thank you for providing feedback on your stay, we are always open to and appreciate insights so we can continue to improve for our guests. Customer service and accommodating our guests are our top priority – we know we only get one chance to make a first impression! While your stay request wasn't our norm, we agreed to accommodate your "Birthday Request" at 7pm for a same day booking in the Treehouse. During our communication we discussed thar our caretaker was on vacation and wouldn't be back till the follow day. I mentioned that this was a unique property and we preferred that she be there to show you around. You expressed that you really preferred a same day check and were willing to get instructions via text versus meeting with her in person. We scrambled to accommodate you and agreed to have a family member unlock the property so you could get access after 11pm. In my multiple text messages, I explained the generator, air conditioners, coffee pot and plug/electricity – also explained the digital guidebook had the same instructions and there was a printed copy in a binder on the table in the Treehouse should you have any questions after your arrival. I mentioned that I was a “worry wart” and suggested you call no matter the time if you had any questions or issues. Our property is “off the grid” and while all the details about the generator, A/C and single outlet in the kitchen are clearly articulated in the property description on VRBO, I am truly sorry they caused you an inconvenience during your stay. I just wish you had mentioned it so we could have helped you locate the outlet during your stay to ensure your experience on our property was top notch. Perfect Weekend

We needed a weekend to disconnect and recharge from our incredibly busy, demanding and stress-filled grind. We researched a lot of different places, but landed on the charming, unique and secluded Treehouse location. There is no wi-fi or cell signal - I drove about a mile to make necessary calls and texts - so we were forced to *egad!* relax and disconnect. The property is as wonderful as shown online. Scenery is beautiful and the fireflies lit up the night. They grounds and the property were immaculate; everything was in perfect working order; we had complete privacy for the weekend; the electrical setup was NEVER a problem; and all we had to do was bring our food and a couple of bottles of wine and we had the perfect weekend. There were deer everywhere. The owners and crew are top notch and I wouldn’t change a thing on the property. (Oh, wait… Yes, I would. The punk rock cow picture upstairs needs to go. Hahha!) We loved it.

Relaxing get-away

Everything at the treehouse was perfect. The views were breathtaking. The treehouse was stocked with everything one might need. From plush bath linens, all the coffee fixings imaginable, to s’mores supplies for the campfire. Even our pup did not want to leave. We will definitely be coming back!

100 percent enjoyable!

We enjoyed every minute we were there! The cabin was clean and had everything you would need to make your self at home. The views were beautiful and the hiking… Wow! We brought our dogs and felt that we could stay for much longer. The cabin was warm, shower was hot and the barbecue grill was a great way to stay and enjoy outside! We plan on coming back!!

Tucked Away DreamHouse

Overall this property is a great find, nestled away in the woods along the lost river. Every morning we saw deer and watched the turkey's in the field, some of the best features of the location. One of my likes/dislikes is no cell service. It made it difficult to communicate to the property owners but then again it forced us to really disconnect something we should all do more often. Property owner Sandy was wonderful, she showed us some of the property and how to run the generator if we needed to but since she had not ever stayed overnight on the property she was not aware of some of the issues/concerns. The hot water worked on the first day but thereafter we only got scalding hot water then ice cold freezing water which made showering exciting LOL We were also struggling with watching tv at night, the tv in the kitchen area did not have power, only the tv in the bedroom loft worked but did not have a remote. We were pleased to see that they had a DVD player on the back of the tv, but w/o remote it made it had to watch without getting up and down on a chair to adjust volume, play/pause...Some other things that I don't believe that were mentioned in the description was that this is a solar powered treehouse which is excellent but it is to note there is only one outlet (in one of the kitchen cabinets) to plug in a hair dryer/iron/coffee maker or whatever you need and that is only powered by the generator. The bed was a little rough on the back but doable for a few nights. It would have been nice to have a fan to push around the air in the loft rather then turning on the generator for some cool breezes. Also the fridge/freezer was not running properly to cool and freeze some items we brought up. But truly other than those complaints the property was wonderful, we enjoyed a night near the firepit...also to note bring your music cd's (if you have any left) there is a car stereo disc player near the bed in the loft that is tied to speakers outside, the owls were hooting to our only 2pac CD we had LOL we got a good laugh out of that one. We also located a squirrel catapult just next to the river (looked like a salad bowl dish), we had a blast putting apples in it and sending it down river. Truly a great find, loved the property, only wished I had a few more nights to really settle in and enjoy it.

Welcome to French Lick Farms!! We are a farm stay getaway, located on 80+ acres just 10 minutes from French Lick in the heart of Southern Indiana.

Sherry and Joe purchased the property in May of 2021 when they were looking for a slower pace to connect with nature. With intentions of making this a vacation home, they quickly realized this place was too special to keep to themselves. They renamed it French Lick Farms and embarked on creating what you see today.

The property had been empty from guests for almost two years due to COVID and needed some serious TLC. Renovations started with replacing the roof, all the dry rotted wood, patching leaks and shoring up the structure of the building. Everything else was cosmetic including new paint, mattresses, bedding, sheets, towels, lighting and decor.

While they have done a facelift there are still so many projects th do but customers were calling and looking to visit the property so they opened to guests in mid-July 2021.
