Beautiful La Jolla Village Home, Sleeps 9

Given this was the first time we've received this feedback about ants with any guests since hosting groups on vrbo for many years, we made sure to get a professional service to spray around the exterior of the house! It was an honest mistake and mishap on our end with our other property directly next door. I will take full responsibility for that. This has never happened before and wont ever happen again. I responded as soon as possible to remedy the situation and the entire problem was resolved within 20-30min. It was a simple switch of check-in info to the guests from next door at a similar property. Regarding the pin drop of the house location, we have no control over that as VRBO uses a general area of where the house is located. We have now switched it online to show the most precise location as possible. With that being said the home is still only about a 5-7min walk to the nearest beach. To show a bit about this guest, she mentioned right off the bat in our first few messages that she might have to "argue with me and VRBO" if she wanted to cancel. The A/C issue could've easily been avoided if asked beforehand to turn it on before their arrival. We do not keep the A/C continually running as it's not cost effective when guests are arriving at different times for each reservation. So yes, once you arrive and turn on the A/C it takes some time to cool down (if its even hot, as 80-90% of the year it is very mild coastal temperatures), but no where near the 4-hours this guest mentioned. The A/C system is a newer model and takes the same amount of time to cool as any other standard home or hotel. The kitchen stovetop does actually have an exhaust fan and it's a simple turn of the knob next to the burners but again this guest never asked or even mentioned this false "issue". I responded to every message in a timely manner so the "biggest compliant" the guest mentioned of me not answering is completely inaccurate. I even gave them a discounted nightly rate when they asked to extend their stay. This guest was here to spread ashes of a loved one and she even mentioned herself that emotions were high and apologized if she was coming off rude which I totally understood. Lastly, none of these issues were never brought to my attention until I saw them in the review. If they would've simply reached out about any of these I would've provided a fast, and reasonable response to them.
