Susie and her family treated my cottage with love and care. I enjoyed meeting Susie and Chuck. They were the finest guests that a host could have. I will welcome them back anytime.
Loved the property. 4 of us stayed at the house and did a mix of golf in the area, Minnesot Beach CC has great golf, and we fished from the pier in the property with good success. House had everything we needed and lived the area. Many thanks to the host for their communication and attention to detail. Would definitely go back.
The property was wonderful, charming, and provided all the relaxation we needed. Terry the host was phenomenal and accessible. Thank you!

This is our second time staying at this property. We love it! It is charming, cozy but with lots of space, and the attention to detail is just perfect. You feel like you are staying in a home well loved, where joyful memories and lazy days on the river flourish. I am sure I will be back for a third stay.

How fortunate to have such enthusiastic guests. Thank you Sheila for recognizing the unique attributes of this historic cottage........and for returning to Journey's End Cottage again. You are always welcome !!!
We had an amazing week at Journeys End! It was the rest and relaxation we needed. Terry's communication was excellent! We enjoyed Arapahoe, Beaufort, New Bern, Oriental, and Atlantic Beach during our stay as well. They are all close by. We spent most of our home time down at the dock where we went kayaking and fishing. We chose not to swim in the river as there was a lot of wildlife; sharks, alligators, jellyfish, dolphins, crabs, etc. If in the area again, we will return to Journeys End.
This property was such an awesome place for our week long vacation. Beautiful house and dock with so many dolphins and other interesting things swimming by. We loved the location and the ferry into the tourist areas. We used the crab traps and fished off the dock daily. The provided kayaks were also a huge plus. Terry is also the very best host EVER.

Wonderful Family Vacation
We stayed at this wonderful cottage for only two nights, wish we could have stayed longer. My three boys loved catching countless blue crap from the dock and the rocks, fishing, jumping off the dock and swimming with the passing dolphins. What an amazing, quiet and relaxing place. Hope to return sometime in the future. Owner was wonderful to work with.

Picturing your three little boys swimming off the dock, catching blue crabs and swimming with the dolphins is a nice thought. It sounds like you made the most of your time at Journeys End Cottage. Thank you for choosing to vacation at Minnesott Beach, NC. Please do come back!!
I love staying here and waking up to the sunrise! Observing the morning light on the water without getting out of bed is great!! The ferry is down the street and gets you to Beaufort and Morehead City.
You can sail in Oriental, and drive to New Bern to shop and sightsee. We did all those fun things as well as just enjoying the views of nature from our rental.

It delights me to read your words, and to know that you return each year for another peaceful time in the Neuse River. Thank you!
Perfect in every way…except one minor thing…could use a slightly larger shower. But then again, it might lessen the cottage’s charm & that certainly wouldn’t do it justice. Loved our time here.
Journey's End was a great escape from our "masked" world. The cottage was great well equipped from kitchen to dock to water..... Absolutely beautiful setting on the Neuse River--Terry the owner is correct just sit and watch the magic on the river... She forgot to mention the lovely view of the moon and stars at night...... Thanks Terry for sharing your little slice of heaven on the Neuse!!

Terry the owner made everything easy and comfortable. The location was perfect. We visited Bath, Washington, Oriental and Emerald Isle. We sat on the dock and watched about 8-10 dolphin swim by one day, then saw a few the next day. We watched the sail boats and fighter jets fly over. The house is very cottage like. Everything we needed was at our disposal! We napped on the sleeping porch. It was a much needed R&R vacation.

Mary having you and your sister at Journey’s End for the week was a pleasure. Please find your way back sometime. It’s great to have guests who appreciate the charm of this retreat on the Neuse River.
This is our third stay at Terry’s beautiful cottage. This comfortable, clean, well-equipped house on the river has been a perfect spot for our family (and friends who rented Terry’s cottage next door) to relax, unwind and refresh. Great seafood market in Oriental and the ferry for Beaufort is nearby. We walked down the street to the country club and purchased day passes to the pool one afternoon and that was fun. Kayays and bikes are also provided. Nothing but kudos for Terry’s cottage!

Our family of 4 adults and 1 teen loved this cottage. We had never been to this part of NC and loved being able to look out on the Neuse River, which is more like a lake! The porch on the back is bright and comfy and you can watch the water change during all weathers. Loved eating our meals out there at the big table. The dock was our other main place, so sturdy and nice sunshade. We fished and crabbed and just hung out. The water and sky are always changing and so relaxing. Also enjoyed the club pool and taking the ferry over to Atlantic Beach.Check-in was easy, kitchen was very nicely stocked, wifi worked well, cottage was very clean. Can't say enough nice things about the owner Terry. She genuinely cares that you have a wonderful vacation and enjoys sharing her family cottage and the river with everyone. She went out of her way to answer our questions. I would definitely return to Journey's End!

Beautiful property! An older home, but beautifully maintained and restored. Everything you need is there. My girls loved the outdoor shower and thought showering "au naturel" was fantastic! The views from the porch are amazing. Open the windows and let the river in!!!! Come and stay. Sit back and relax. Let the river speak to you!

Beautiful and Relaxing
High school girlfriends convened here for a fun and relaxing weekend. It is the perfect place to take excursions to Oriental and New Bern for shopping and dining. The Minnesott Golf Club is charming and offers great cuisine. Hop on the ferry and visit Morehead, Harker's Island, and Cape Lookout. The sunsets are spectacular, not only from the cottage's pier or cozy back porch but also from the ferry. I highly recommend this weekend retreat as a getaway with your special friends. What more could you ask than to spend time with dear friends in a charming cottage on the beautiful Neuse River!!

Nothing like getting all your friends in one place for a week or weekend of great food and catching up. It was perfect having this group at my favorite spot for three whole days. Thanks for sharing how you feel when you come to Journey's End Cottage. I think it would appeal to any group needing to reunite, retreat and relax.
Nicely appointed, clean cottage overlooking the Neuse River in a quiet neighborhood. The owner provided bikes and kayaks which we enjoyed during our stay. The location is perfect for day trips to beaches, quaint friendly small coastal towns, and Croatan National Forest. The cottage’s back porch provides an excellent view of the river where you can spot many different bird species, as well as porpoises, and otters. The back porch is also a great place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee or have a nice afternoon nap. The owner of the cottage is very accommodating, check-in and parking easy. We felt revitalized after our stay and appreciate all the things the owner has done to make this charming cottage so inviting and relaxing. A+++

Thank you for your keen accounting of the wildlife that you enjoyed seeing and photographing during your stay on the Neuse River. You have a true appreciation for this cottage and all of it's surroundings. Thank you for taking in all of it's offerings.
This home was very accommodating. It had all the supplies needed. It was not the owners fault that we could not swim in the river due to the jellyfish. Our only recommendation was to have a different type of sun shade for For the deck to be able to sit out there longer during the day . She had everything That you can think of you might need for your stay from a paperclip to extra blankets to cooking utensils, trays, you name it she had it. The only negative thing was that the owner prefers you not to use the washer and dryer

RELAX!
Sit on the pier, drink your cup of coffee and watch the sun coming up while swifts dart under and over the pier, or sip your glass of wine feeling the breezes waft over your face, listening to the waves lapping as you watch the sun set. Journey's End was the best choice for us and our grandchildren to sit back and enjoy the very best of nature with majestic birds flying overhead. The cottage? Step back into the history of this former fishing shack that belonged to Terry's family (And yes, there's still good fishing and crabbing even off the pier at Journey's End!) and that has been updated to be so very comfortable. Terry was communicative and is an excellent host anticipating one's every request. My wife and I have been to Journey's End several times and look forward to our next visit (with or without the grands!).
