Peaceful retreat spot to get back to nature and spend quality time with loved ones. Interior of home is modern and well-appointed. We sat for hours on the porch watching egrets, sea otters, herons and even a bald eagle! There is excellent fishing right from the bank. We enjoyed the fire pit and clear view of stars at night. Bring everything you need because it's a 30-min drive to town!

Beautiful home and view! We spent a LOT of time fishing, watching the boats and wildlife pass by, and exploring the area. It’s in a remote area, which is what we wanted. It can be buggy when the winds die down, but that’s part of life in this area. Thanks for sharing your home!

Lovely home with stunning location across the river from Oriental. Tons of wildlife (river otters, birds, huge pod of dolphins, bobcat). No sounds from nearby roads or industry. Occasional boats of course. A short walk from the house is a sandy beach, perfect for coffee in the mornings. The views of the marshes and unspoiled nature are unbeatable! The bed was very comfortable and showers were fine. The layout is great with a large deck surrounded by live oaks dripping with Spanish moss. A well placed trumpet vine fed a steady supply of hummingbirds for our enjoyment. Multiple fans kept the ‘sketters away- so not as much of an issue as I expected. The gravel road is long, but worth the drive! Plan ahead with your supplies as nature is what is convenient here, not grocery stores. If you enjoy being surrounded by nature, yet still want comfort and amenities, this is a great find!
We discovered Coco is a water dog.

We loved our time at this location and plan to return for an even longer stay. The host was wonderful to work with and very friendly! It was very private and peaceful, about 30min from town or any store , so be prepared. The location was great for us as we wanted “to get away”. The home and view is BEAUTIFUL! I can’t wait to return and have already sent the info for the property to a family friend who saw our pictures and wanted to stay there as well! I’m so looking forward to our next trip!
