Welcome to Chateau Sundance at Kookaburra #201, a relaxing 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom mountain-themed contemporary condo! At 1000+ square feet, you'll enjoy the regular luxuries of a full-size home without sacrificing comfort! You're just across the street from the village which includes coffee shops, bistros, lifts, pubs, a golf course, ice rink and more! Plus, stay cool in summer with portable AC.

- Ski- in: Take the Gentle Giant and join the Valley Trail to the top of the village, then a 40 meter walk/skate to Kookaburra Lodge
- Ski- out: Cross the road and walk/skate 40meters to the main village and ski down to the Sundance and Sunburst chairlifts

Nice Layout, But Several Issues Impacted Our Stay

The condo had a great layout, was spacious for our family, and the location was convenient. Unfortunately, several issues throughout our stay took away from what could have been a much better experience. After a long day of travel, we arrived to find that our entry code didn't work, which made check-in unnecessarily stressful. We also had a smoke detector that beeped continuously, and it took approximately 45 minutes for someone to come and resolve the issue. The primary ensuite shower drain still contained hair from a previous guest, suggesting it hadn't been cleaned as thoroughly as expected. One thing future guests should be aware of is that someone enters the property daily to service the hot tub. This may have been outlined in the rental agreement, and I understand why it's necessary, but it wasn't something we had paid much attention to before booking. While it may not bother everyone, it wasn't our preference and did impact our sense of privacy. The bedding was also extremely warm for the summer months, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. We would also have appreciated blackout blinds, particularly for families with young children, as the bedrooms became very bright early in the morning. Overall, the condo itself has a lot of potential with a functional layout, but the combination of the check-in issues, maintenance delays, cleanliness concerns, and other inconveniences meant our stay didn't quite meet our expectations. With a few improvements, this could be a much stronger rental.

My wife and I and 3 of our adult kids stayed here over the August Long Weekend as part of a family reunion. We had a wonderful time. The suite is well appointed, the kitchen is very well stocked, and there is lots of space for lounging, playing games and hosting visitors. It is right near the entrance to the village and ammenities. We had a wonderful time and will certainly look to staying here again next time we visit SunPeaks.

Excellent property and great location. Short walk to the ski hill, the outdoor rink, restaurants, shops and grocery store. Very comfortable.

Excellent stay at Kookaburra near Sun Peaks main village

Shoulder season stay, everything was quiet and relaxing. Utilized the hot tub and a launch base for hiking adventures. Clear views of the summit and within 100m of the village, felt like you were part of the action. Did not need to use the car to get anywhere after you safely park it underground. Would certainly stay again.
