Spacious King Room close to Reed College, Downtown, and Hawthorne District
Our very special guest abode is recently remodeled and tastefully designed. You will have the large downstairs room and bath to yourself, except for a shared laundry area. The King bed has a pillow top mattress and has been dubbed 'very very comfortable' by our guests in the past. The work/office area can be expanded or condensed as needed, and of course includes wireless internet. The oversized tub is perfect for a long soak at the end of the day and there is a rain shower too! There is a designated kitchenette with fridge, small freezer, and small appliances. The older neighborhood is close to everything and has sweet small eateries and businesses near, within a 5 min walk. A beautiful and peaceful park with beautiful big trees is also a 5 min walk. Reed college, OHSU, and downtown Portland are all within a 10 min drive. We will do all we can to make your stay carefree. We know you will love it here.

We are a small family run business. Melanie is the main owner/manager of the home and lives part time in Portland and part time in Ajijic, Mexico with her husband Ronaldo of 35 years. She is who you will be virtually communicating with up until your stay and sometimes during and after it. Please feel free to ask questions via the website interface as we are not at liberty to communicate outside of this platform until booking is complete. Melanie is a career RN and is happily semi-retiring in Mexico. Ayla is Melanie's daughter and lives on site. She is who you will mainly be coordinating with once you start your stay! Ayla manages a wonderful public health oriented program for a non-profit in Portland but works from home. We are a long time Oregon (mostly Bend) family that includes Melanie's husband Ronaldo and Ayla's twin sister Bri, both of which sometimes help out with the rental suite. Bri lives very close by as well. We look forward to talking with and hosting you!
Why they chose this property
This is a recent remodel done with the utmost care to details. We hope you will enjoy the clean and fresh finishes, the spacious bathroom with it's extra large fancy tub and rainshower, the enormous closet/storage space, and the work space (and/or dining space) set up for one or two people. The kitchenette has everything you need for simple meals. The neighborhood is convenient to everything Portland.
What makes this property unique
We fell in love with this home the moment we toured it to purchase, ESPECIALLY the guest suite downstairs. It is really very special. We have a very strong focus on making sure you are comfortable during your stay.
