Susan’s cabin was the perfect anniversary getaway we were hoping for. It was welcoming and cozy and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. It was unbelievably quiet and peaceful, easy to find, and there’s a convenience store five minutes away with live bait that we visited to fish off the private dock. Susan was also very responsive, and we appreciated the local waterfall recommendation! We can’t wait to stay again!

My husband and I were truly amazed by how attentive and wonderful our hosts were. We have stayed many times in the Adirondacks, but we have never been treated so wonderfully. Thank you, Susan and Greg for all you do to give people a wonderful time. The location is spectacular and the sunsets were awesome. Thank you again.

Susan does a great job with the cabin! It is in a beautiful spot on the lake. Convenient to get to yet quiet and private woodsy setting off from the road. Everything was perfect, it was just as described and pictured. We had a very enjoyable stay!

This was our second stay at Adirondack Sunset and it was better than the first. The new gazebo was a delightful way to view the lake without worrying if the mosquitoes were out, this year we tried the canoes, and had a couple of very nice fires at the fire pit, complete with s’mores. Susan was, as ever, quickly responsive to any questions. And the fishing was good. We definitely plan to return.

Our stay was wonderful! A huge thank you to Susan for letting us check in much earlier, which was so kind. The cabin was very clean, cozy, and had a very comfortable King-size bed. Unlike our experience last year in the same area, we felt completely secure here with double locks and great outside lighting. The best part was walking barefoot straight into the lake with beautiful mountain views and gorgeous sunsets. There is a great fire pit, and the area is very dog-friendly—our dog loved playing here. We had a great time, thank you Susan for sharing your lovely cabin!

The property is stellar: great location on the lake, super clean, lots of gear (boats, life jackets, kitchen stocked, etc). A gazebo was recently put in as well as a swing by the lake. The gazebo was a great place to sit & watch the sunsets with the 'squeeters trying their best to gain entry. They did not succeed. The hostess, Susan, responds promptly to all messages and takes excellent care of this property.

Anniversary getaway

Clean comfortable excellent location, enjoyed the kayaks canoe and paddle boat , we really enjoyed the chairs on the dock. The Beach area and Sandy cove was a great way to enter water for swimming.

Great getaway place!

Very comfortable cabin and spectacular lakeside property. Amazing sunsets, awesome dock and the place is fully equipped. We will rebook again for sure. Susan did a great job of making sure all was going great throughout the stay.

Another great vacation

Beautiful spot

Our Stay

Home was true to the listing. Great water access. Lake was beautiful. Not a lot of boat traffic. Would definitely rent again.

It is a pleasure to know your time on the lake was memorable. Chateaugay Lake is fed by the Springs 5 miles away from the Upper Lake. The water is clear for that reason and is very clean.

Another great vacation

This is our 3rd time staying at Adirondack Sunset (1st time during the winter) and we enjoyed everything about the location. Susan was always checking in to make sure everything was ok and answered any questions promptly. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Peaceful Quiet Visit by the Lake

We both enjoyed our time on Upper Chateaugay Lake. The cabin was tidy and cute with everything that we needed. We used the canoe for fishing and paddling, made a campfire with the wood that was provided and enjoyed hiking Lyon Mountain. Thanks for a great stay!!
