Detailed welcome booklet:
Arrival information:
The circuit breaker for electricity (light, hot water and heating) is in the entrance in a high cupboard.
The gas metre is to the right of the kitchen door recessed in the garden wall and protected by a small blue door. The position of the small lever in the axis of the gas pipe means that the gas is open.
The keys to the door to the house, garden and lean-tos are in a storage compartment on a piece of furniture in the kitchen near the window. Matches and wipes are available in the drawers of this cabinet.
An external key box is available.
In the kitchen you have a gas oven, a fridge, a microwave, a filter coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster, a dishwasher (tablets under the sink, 1/2 per wash are enough). Dishes and utensils are stored in the sideboard, some dishes are in a compartment under the oven. If you turn on several appliances (+3) at the same time, the electricity may go out. In this case, you have to go back up and re-arm the circuit breaker that has jumped into a box above the kitchen sideboard using a stepladder in the entrance.
Household waste and sorting:
- A black bin for household waste (30L bags) in the kitchen. Full bags are to be taken out and deposited in skips that you will find 25-50 m from the house on the right towards the port or on the left towards the beach
- A navy blue bin for plastics and packaging (30L TRANSPARENT YELLOW BAGS) is in the garden to the right of the kitchen. Full bags are to be taken out and deposited in skips that you will find 25-50 m from the house on the right towards the port or on the left towards the beach
- Glasses (bottles, jam jars...) are to be taken out and deposited in containers on the port
- organic waste (peelings...) can be deposited in compost bins on the port or on vegetable waste in the garden at the bottom right.
Liquid for the washing machine, dishwasher, bin bags and cleaning products are under the kitchen or bathroom sink. Stocks are available in the lower lean-to.
Lean-tos:
- Blue garden lean-to from the top to the end of the driveway: for garden stuff, drying clothes, storing beach stuff. Sun loungers and parasols for the terrace. Games for children.
- Lean-to at the bottom right: gardening tools, do not use toilets that are not functional, supplies of toilet paper, paper towels, washing-up liquid, sponges for your attention. Stays cool in summer and allows you to store bottles of water, potatoes... etc. There is a new barbecue to set up if you wish. A baby bath is available.
The terrace and garden:
- You have a table, chairs, sun loungers and parasols. Every evening or when you leave the garden for a few hours, remember to close the parasols because they can be blown away by the wind and end up below. This is dangerous and can injure people.
- A barbecue is available in the lower lean-to and can be used under supervision. Be careful not to start a fire with the sparks if the vegetation is dry in summer.
- Potted plants, lawns and gardens: a water reserve tray is available to water the plants at the end of the day or early in the morning as a priority. If the tank is empty and if allowed, use the hosepipe
- Respect the animals in the garden: lizards, passing cats, birds, bees, butterflies... If you have your own pets, please pick up their droppings
- Fruit trees: depending on the season, do not hesitate to eat figs, mirabelle plums, chestnuts and apples.
Rules to be respected: no smoking in the house, no noisy parties, no invitation of additional travellers without prior information, no garden fire. If you are absent at night, close the kitchen shutter is advised.
