Studio - Accessible to People with Reduced Mobility

The La Tanguière residence is composed of 3 3-star studios with an exceptional view of the Indian Ocean allowing whale watching from June to October. Each studio has a private terrace as well as a common deck surrounded by exotic vegetation where you can enjoy your breakfasts, aperitif or BBQ facing the sea. You will see the sunset every evening with its flamboyant colours and green ray. Occasionally, you can also watch the moonsets. The interior has been decorated by your host where you will find unique art objects. A fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal. A king size bed with superior quality mattress will ensure comfortable nights. The bathroom is spacious with a walk-in shower. The garden is made up of many fruit trees, exotic plants with each season flowers with bright colours blooming. It is also home to many species of birds, lizards, geckos and a turtle.

Craftsman since 1988 and originally from Saint-Leu, your host works with lacquer and tortoiseshell from farmed and different materials from the sea. He will be able to present his know-how to you if you wish and you can visit his shop at the covered market of Saint-Leu. He has an advanced knowledge of his island and he is passionate about its fauna and flora. He will be delighted to share his knowledge with you.

The residence La Tanguière is located at an altitude of 50 metres in the town of Saint Leu, at the Pointe des Châteaux. It is a secure area where there are restaurants, a pharmacy, a doctor's office as well as diving clubs, paragliding clubs and a gym. The beach, Kélonia, the coconut house, the Mascarene garden and the town centre of Saint-Leu are only a few minutes away by car. All these tourist sites are also accessible by public transport. The bus stop is 300 metres away and the Route des Tamarins provides easy and quick access to the rest of the island. Saint-Leu is a fishing village that is animated by a presence of art, music and culture as well as sporting events such as surfing and paragliding. Every Saturday morning you will find a fairground market by the sea as well as a fishmonger for all your fresh produce. In the evening the town comes alive with many concerts at the rondavelles or at La Ravine. There are more than thirty restaurants and snack bars to satisfy your appetite.
