More stairs to get in than what was described. The main level bed was very hard. We had a hard time getting the front door to lock when we left the house each time. The view off the deck was awesome. Location was great.

Great location

We loved the location, steps from the pool and beach with a short drive to Charleston for tours and dinners. The king bed was a bit too firm for me, but the rest were super comfortable and everything seemed updated. Lots of supplied provided soap, shampoo, dish soap, olive oil, etc. Could have used a few more forks!

Enjoyed our stay!

This is a great location inside Wild Dunes resort. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the heart of the resort activities. Short walk to the beach, and the pool is nice and convenient. The kitchen is small but we didn’t need to cook much. The condo is comfortable and clean but could use some fresh paint in high traffic areas. There is no umbrella on the deck which would help!

Perfect Beach Condo

We have stayed in many vacation homes over the years and this was one of the nicest. Beautifully decorated with all the amenities you need. Great ocean views from the deck too. I definitely recommend this condo. We plan on renting it again next summer.

Wonderful family vacation in great condo!

3D Mariners Walk was a beautifully decorated condo. It had a great ocean view and quick walk to beach and pool. The condo was very clean and comfortable for our family of 5. It is on our favorites list to reserve again.

Beach location was perfection, and Brendon was on point fixing the things in the place that just needed tweaked which was a drier we couldn’t get to work and a sandy drain (honestly considered 5 stars just because of his awesome service as he had it done so fast and communicated well). One star deducted because the condo missed things we typically see when renting beach places from VRBO. There was no dish soap, no salt/pepper for cooking, it was 86 degrees in the unit when we arrived, no where to rinse sand off feet outside we could find, and the downstairs bed was pretty uncomfy. This isn’t really a fault of the unit, but the people before us must have just put their dishes back without washing as there was eggs still on utensils and a couple dirty plates. However the beach location was fantastic and the way the rooms are separated allows for multiple people to stay comfortably so would probably stay again.

Fantastic Vacation Getaway!

Excellent condo with a solid view of the ocean! The amenities and décor throughout the rooms were beautiful and helped make for a very relaxing getaway. The nearby pool access was the perfect pit-stop on the way back from the beach. The neighborhood and community were very friendly and well maintained. We will be staying at this location again! Great Location

The property is in a great spot - near the beach and pool. If you are looking for a rental that has lots of beach supplies this is not it. Be prepared to bring your own chairs, towels, beach toys etc.

What a wonderful experience! The condo was perfect, located in Wild Dunes it was steps to the beach and pool. The accommodations were very comfortable for our family. The condo was great, location was good, on the beach, and spacious. Only problem was Tropical Storm Debby, ended up spending too much time inside for a beach vacation. No fault of the property, just bad timing for us.

family beach week

We had a great stay!! The location allowed for an easy walk to the beach or the pool. Plenty of linens. We had some rainy days but the view from the balcony helped us feel connected to the outside! The owner was accessible by email and phone to answer any questions. Very clear instructions provided by the owner upon arrival.

Pleasant IOP stay

Nice place in great location close to the beach and with nice quiet bike paths nearby. Worked well for us as a couple with our 2 teenage daughters and one grandparent. Living room gave us enough space to hang out on a rainy day. The main beds were nice. We did have an issue with the bunk bed where it creaked and was unstable, but once we told the owners someone came that day and fixed the problem and it was fine after that.

Family at the beach

Thank you for a great stay. The condo was as advertised and the view to the ocean was amazing. I did have a couple of recommendations as the first impression was less than expected. I would recommend having housekeeping sweep the cobwebs around the entry door regularly, as there was a lot, and not on other units. I would also recommend painting the door as it was a terrible first impression of what you might be walking into, however we were pleasantly surprised. Everything else was wonderful and enjoyed by the whole family!!!

Graduation Weekend !!!

This condo is top - notch !!! Very modern , comfortable , and beautifully decorated . There are three bathrooms which meant a lot to three women !!! My daughters said they wanted to rent it later themselves with my grandson ! Just needed an extra trashbag ... but that was something I forgot to bring extra of . Mrs . Heide was so helpful , she was great !!!

Pros: beautiful view of the ocean and close to the beach and pool in the facility, the layout is very nice, spacious enough for the 4 adults and 2 children who were on this trip. The bedroom sizes were nice and spacious, and the living room had adequate seating. Cons: The front door is in horrible shape, light bulb missing in the hallway lamp, the downstairs bedroom mattress needs to be replaced (very lumpy), the downstairs toilet was not secure to the ground and would rock and lift from the floor with any slight motion, the kitchen is pretty small and was difficult for two people to be in at the same time prepping meals, and the dryer didn’t work. We did not contact anyone about these things based on the note on the dryer. The note states that the timed dry setting didn’t work and the dryer would not turn off on its own. None of that was noted in the listing and as a traveler with kids, when I saw we would have a washer and dryer I packed less clothes. You should know your dryer doesn’t just not turn off but it doesn’t work well either. After 4 hours of attempting to dry clothes on high heat and knowing the lint vent was clean, our clothes were still damp. I saw a review about the dryer but figured it would have been fixed by now. I would also suggest changing your cleaning company. There was mold in the showers and the furniture (especially the chair in the living room) look very dirty. Expected better for 4,000 total price.

Great location

I have stayed in Wild Dunes many times over the years, in many of the little enclaves. Mariners Walk is wonderful. This particular unit is great for a family. Super close to the pool which was great with a 2 month old. Easy access to beach path, and short walk which also made this beach trip with a baby way easier. The ONLY thing about this unit I would ask for is maybe a few beach things like chairs, toys, beach towels, etc to make it easier on those traveling from far away (we live in upstate SC but could see how it would be inconvenient for out of state families). That is the ONLY thing in my opinion that sets many other units apart from this one. Also, not too much of a view for those looking for one! Beautiful spot, just not a huge view if that’s important to you! Thank you for a wonderful week!

A rest haven during a busy wedding weekend

Arrived for a nieces wedding. This home was a wonderful place to rest and relax prior to and after the wedding. Really enjoyed the gated community for security while staying at the isle of Palms. I had family members from other places stopping by and they all enjoyed our walks on the great beaches and marveled at the view from the townhouse. Each morning we sat on the surprisingly large deck overlooking the ocean and had our morning coffee. The three large bedrooms were perfect for our family of 7 who stayed at the home. Having three full baths was huge plus on the wedding day. The kitchen was a bit small but was well stocked with all things needed for our stay. The seating area was spacious and sufficient for the 7 of us and the large screen tv while not used often was great for the late evening viewing. Only had two small maintenance issues which were handled quickly by the maintenance staff and owner. The linin and towel service and having all the small things at the home (i.e. hand/dish soap, paper towels, and toilet paper) is a huge plus to us traveling to this home since we arrived later at night. We would stay again if our travels took us back to Charleston. As my son said on the way home, he would not mind another week in the house over the Christmas holidays and to visit Charleston again.

Pros and Cons

We celebrated 4th of July week at this property in Mariner’s Walk - it was our second vacation in IoP and first in Wild Dunes, and while we had a lovely visit, there were definitely pros/cons on this property to share with other prospective renters just to help with expectations. Pros: Good location, relatively quiet and less crazy section of the beach, nice and wide with plenty of space to set up. Easy walk to the beach for a condo unit, with a cut through directly across the parking lot from the unit to the beach access with a ramp (which was great for our baby gear wagon; the main beach access for the complex has steps). Rental chairs and umbrellas available beach side if you don’t want to pack yours in (although the rental company has pre-staked out the prime spots at the high tide line with all of their chairs and umbrellas). Condo pool well kept with baby pool - maintained daily. Charcoal grills on site also well kept and nice and large. Nice little covered nook next to the unit’s marked parking spot to store your beach gear. Ice maker makes ice like a boss. Unit is tastefully decorated with relaxing coastal vibe, clearly had a relatively recent remodel. About a half hour drive to downtown Charleston if you want a change of pace for a non-beach day. Cons: Pictures of the unit make it seem much larger than it actually is (pay attention to the square feet - its accurate… very cozy for the 8 people it says it sleeps). Very small kitchen that is sorta oddly furnished… plenty of plates, cups, and way more pots and pans than you could use… but very few knives, no hot pads. Very little storage for your groceries if you plan to eat in. Couch and all the beds are well loved (soft and a bit lumpy). Downstairs bedroom is advertised as a king but actually has a queen. Full over full bunk beds upstairs cannot accommodate adults so “sleeps 8 adults” is not accurate (there is actually a sticker on the bed saying limit 200lb, don’t mistake that you can get multiple adults in this bunk) - my teen had to sleep on the couch. Finally, be advised this is an upper floor unit - you go up 2 flights to get to the main floor of this condo, and then another flight of stairs to get to top 2 bedrooms… not for anyone with mobility issues. All in all, I’d give this property a 3 out of 5 for the price. We rented late and were lucky to find anything, and we would do it again for the chance to spend the week with family at the beach.

We went ahead and updated the listing to reflect the queen bed - so thank you for letting us know that. To clarify on the bunks, that is to include the trundle bed that pulls out on the bottom! We went ahead and did a full re-stock of the kitchen inventory as well. As for the couch, we usually get many compliments on it's comfort! But we're happy to take a look to see if it needs replacing.
