The property, in the 25 plus years I’ve been renting it, remains quite special. It’s easy to enjoy the proximity to the water, the family of geese, the perpetual quiet and the heavenly chorus of the loons. Oh yes, and the fishing is to die for.I will be back for years to come.
Had the most amazing, relaxing stay here. Property was beautiful and quiet and Allison was a wonderful and responsive host! I didn’t want to leave and will definitely visit again!

Kara, thank you for sharing your vacation time with us at Tildon Pond. I am thilled that you enjoyed your stay as much as we enjoy our time on property. Please come see again soon and share some of your favorite hike locations! Allison
We were very relaxed at Tilden pond but unfortunately both me and my wife tested positive for COVID on Wednesday and had to return home the next day. We liked how the camp wasn’t too far out of the way for Acadia National park and Baxter State Park day trips.
Allison was great and extremely responsive. The cabin was clean and the location was perfect. It was nice having both heat and air conditioning as some days both were used. I rented my own kayak, but having the boat available was a nice addition. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Hi Brian, thank you for sharing your vacation time with us.
Beautiful small lake with a moderately rustic but very functional 1 bedroom cabin essentially at the water's edge.

Thank you for staying with us this summer. I hope you will return again next season. The view from the bedroom to the lake is one of our favorite pats of the property.
This was our second stay at this location. which is one of our favourites. Everything went smoothly and we have no complaints.

Tib and Lisa, thank you for your continued time at the Cottage. And thank you for sharing the beauty of the special flowers. We hope to see you next summer!
My wife and I have become attached to this little cabin, after returning several years in a row. Following a brief interruption we were happy to see that the new owners had changed very little. It's snug but has all that is necessary for us, and it's in the right place.
More beautiful than my words can describe.
Fish jumping, loons calling, geese & ducks and the colors of autumn all around.
End of the road cottage on the edge of a lake, peaceful spot to watch sunrises and sunsets. Hope to return!!

Jeff, we enjoyed having you on property this fall. Look forward to seeing you next season.
Great location on beautiful pond! Cottage was very nice, well appointed, but just a little too small for us. Host was easy to communicate with. I was disappointed they no longer offered a kayak or canoe as advertised when I booked the property back in April.

Thank you for your honest words. We will include a canoe for 2024 guests.
I came to visit friends in the area and this cabin was PERFECT!!! it is well appointed, very clean, and there was nothing I didn't have that I wished was there. It was peaceful, the weather was gorgeous. I could hear the loons at night on the water, slept with the windows open every night. The hosts were kind, not intrusive, and answered any questions I had quickly. I would definitely stay here again. This is a perfect spot for a single person, or a couple. Everything was perfect!
Everything was special in every way. The cabin is quiet and private. Closeness to the water is very special...eagles, geese and loons all contribute to the ongoing symphony.
Small, but very functional and comfortable.
So many places to visit, including downtown Belfast, Young's Lobster Pound and numerous destinations north and south on US 1.
This one is a little known gem!
This is a rustic little cabin in a perfect location. It is well-equipped and tidy inside. Everything seemed very clean and well cared for. The lake setting could not be beat. Also we love this part of Maine. Overall very pleased. The only small thing I could say about it is that it is not fancy (that is obvious from the photos) and it has a bit of a musty cabin smell. But it was very charming and we would return.

Thank you for taking time to share your feedback. We enjoy the 'old school' vibe at the cottage.
The camp is small but pleasant and well equipped for 2 guests. We chose it because the reviews & pictures suggested a rowboat and canoe were available. This is not true.
The lake seems lovely, the location is pleasant and private but it was disappointing to come so far just to look at it.

I am sorry that the watercraft was missing during your stay. We will modify our offering to provide a canoe for guests next season.
I had a wonderful week at Farpoint Cabin which is down a lane and then right on the edge of beautiful Tilden Pond. It's about an 8 minute drive to Belfast and a little longer to Camden and Rockport.
The cabin is rustic, but comfortable, with a good bed and plenty of hot water. It is small but perfect for one person(me!) and would be fine for 2. I was amazed that it was so peaceful and quiet - no motorized boats, just canoes and kayaks - and one sailboat. Bliss! Contact with Alison, the host, was easy. I would happily stay there again.
Dear Allison and Brad,
Thank you so much for sharing your cozy cottage with others. We came to Maine with dreams of enjoying some bass fishing and escaping the noise of suburbia. We were not disappointed! The regular sightings of the bald eagle, the loon songs, and excellent fishing made it a great trip. Sharing your rowboat for our trolling motor made the great fishing possible.
We wish you a wonderful summer season, and hope your guests enjoy Tilden Pond as much as we did!
Thank you!

Richard---we are so pleased to hear about your visit.
Lovely little cabin on a beautiful lake. My husband and I enjoyed our week on Tilden Pond. It was a perfect location for exploring both the coast and inland areas on our first visit to Maine. We enjoyed the company of ducks, turkeys and a bald eagle before we left each morning and when we returned to the cabin each evening. The cabin is nicely set up and quite comfortable.
We did not use the boat or canoe, but both are provided for use and would be a wonderful way to pass a lazy summer day on Tilden Pond. We hope to be frequent visitors to Maine no that we have discovered its wonders and would most definitely stay here again.

Thank you for sharing your vacation time with us at Tilden Pond. We thinks it's a magical place. Allison
Loved this cabin built for two steps away from pretty Tilden Pond, a private, quiet lake. The cabin is set up with plenty of charm. The bed was very comfy and the views can't be beat.
The kitchen was well stocked and the bathroom is roomy with plenty of hot water. The screened porch was a perfect spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails.
We don't watch a lot of TV and the wifi is a little spotty, but this is a cabin in Maine. No need for TV when you have everything else.
The rowboat was a great plus since there are plenty of fish and the pond was usually still in the morning.
Geese, ducks, a resident bald eagle and pair of loons, as well as a flock of turkeys kept us company daily.
So remote and yet so close to Belfast made this a really great home base for the week. We hope to visit again next year.

About the host
Hosted by Allison Guyton
Our family fell in love this property the first time we drove in! We are enamored with the serene massive stunning water views, a welcome respite to the craziness of life, ALL with proximity to Belfast, restaurants, Penobscot Bay within 10 minutes.
Why they chose this property
Farpoint on Tilden Pond is a magically place. "Tilden Pond in the Midcoast town of Belmont, Maine, may be small in size, but it’s beyond large in beauty. If you are looking for an escape located away from it all, yet rather close to it all, Tilden Pond may be your choice for waterfront real estate. Tilden Pond is only three hours from Boston and one hour from Portland."
What makes this property unique
Few cottages offer such a close proximity to the water and privacy. We offer a dedicated WIFI system, fully stocked kitchen and grill, screened in porch and private outdoor space.
