Very well-appointed cabin that felt much bigger than the studio-style layout....probably because of the high ceilings! Lovely drive up and secluded area. Great place!
Excellent cabin- perfectly clean. Great location. Kids loved the hot tub and fire pit. Only would have appreciated a few little things like salt/pepper and shampoo/soap. They kindly provided a peeler when I texted we needed one! :)
I would definitely go back. The only bad thing was that we saw some cockroaches and the hot tub was pretty cloudy dirty when we arrived. my wife and i didnt go in but the kids did and they are doing fine. merlot is a great cabin.
Wanted a quick getaway from work after Xmas. My husband, 7yo daughter and I went for 3 nights. The land was beautiful, and welcoming. Everything was easy from start to finish. When we 1st arrived the cabin was clean and they had the fire place on and music playing which I loved walking into. The cabin had Everything we needed and everything worked like it should. This will be a yearly thing for my family, I Definitely recommend!
The photos certainly don’t do this property justice. As soon as we arrived, my wife and I agreed it was even better than photos showed. Needed the hot tub filled a little and it happened quickly after. Two folding chairs and two Adirondack chairs near the fire. I would recommend bringing bath and beach towels. There was only one bath towel in the cabin. Need beach towels for the hot tub. A little difficult to navigate the property if you arrive in the dark, but doable. Awesome property, will return!
Easy to find. Loved the cabin. Stayed during the Winter hike. Very nice cabin. Only issue was the propane grill was missing a propane tank. Had missed if I needed to bring my own. Minor issue since I can cook a steak on the stove just as well. Lol.
We liked the cabin but the room layout was odd. King bed in the same room as the living room & kitchen, there isn’t really dining space only 2 stools at the island counter. Very small space if you had children. Water pressure in shower was not good. Great shower space but no water to enjoy it. No dish washer which we didn’t mind but nothing to put your dishes in to drain. It was more of a Glamping trip. WiFi did work great. Nice tv but couldn’t see it from the couch because of the odd layout. Hot tub nice but not secluded. Could be seen from the road. Great place if you are going to be going in & out a lot. Paved road.
My best friend and I had a wonderful time at the Merlot cabin. The check-in and check- out instruction were clear. The property and cabin were in pristine condition and close to a lot of cool attractions in the hocking hills area. We will 100% be back in the future.
Was very nice, had trouble trying to check in, I didn’t see an email for check in details so I left a voicemail. Everything was great but the morning we checked out I found a big cockroach on the coffee pot but other than that it was good
We stayed in Cabin 8, and it was by far a better experience than I anticipated. It was the furthest cabin from others and gave us more privacy to enjoy the peace and silence of the forest. The space was immaculate (although I recommend checking the silverware before using it, ours had a few specs of food on them), the air was always clean, the linens and bedding were immaculate, and the hot tub was fantastic. The handbook in the living room was so helpful and proved that they keep all of the bedding clean and fresh - you're instructed to remove it all before checking out. I will be returning and recommending all of these cabins to friends. Thank you!
