Please find the message that I sent after reading this extremely petty review. They have declined to remove the petty review. Please note that there was never any communication with us about any of these petty issues during their stay so it came as a shock that she wasn't happy during her stay. We want guests to enjoy the home and come back again and again. "Kaleen and I were very surprised to read your review. My cleaner sent me a picture on Wednesday when she cleaned the house after your stay of a broken chair from the dining set. She also thought that there was a party of 6 there as it was left very dirty and she said that every bed was used and the chair broken. You had declared a party of 2 on the resevation even though you were a party of 3. I left you a 5 star review as a courtesy and was willing to let that go as I assumed you had a pleasant stay since we never heard of any issues while you were at the house. We would have let you know had you reached out that the electrical that you spoke of in your review is not live. The picture you added to the review is very deceiving. You make it look like the location of it is right there for anyone to access but as you know, the location of the wall at that cabinet would require someone stand on a chair or stepladder to even reach it. Regardless, it is not active wires so it's not a concern to me as a hazard to future renters. As far as the decorative ceramic watering can decoration that you also left a picture of in your review, it is not a receptacle to eat or drink out of and I find it very unfair that you made an issue of it. I let my cleaner know that you took a picture of an unclean drain. She was surprised by that. As stated before, if there was a cleanliness issue we would have loved to hear about it from you at the time. We rely on the cleaner to make sure the home is thoroughly cleaned prior to each tenant. The pots and pans that you spoke of as being stained is par for the course of a mountain cabin. They are in fine condition and have never had any complaints until your review. We would like to ask that you remove your negative review as it is completely unfair. You had direct communication with Kaleen during your stay and didn't allow us to defend or rectify any issues as you never brought them up until your review. I am sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay in such a magical place. Alton Bay and Lake Winnipesaukee are amazing".
