We had a wonderful stay at Laura’s cabin. She was extremely communicative, honest, and trustworthy throughout the entire process, which made everything seemless and stress-free. The cabin was very clean, cozy and truly felt magical. The propane wood stove provided beautiful warmth and created such a relaxing atmosphere, especially in the evenings. Being nestled in the woods gave us privacy and peace, yet it was still very easy to access from the main road. It’s an ideal place for a romantic weekend getaway, and we can also see it being perfect for a family stay with kids.We enjoyed our stay immensly. Thank you, Laura!
Absolutely beautiful cabin nestled in the perfect location to get away from it all. We can't wait to have another opportunity to spend time there again.
We loved our stay in this cozy log cabin. Our host was attentive and communicated well about check in/check out. The place was clean and well stocked, rustic with all the comforts of home. Located close to Bolton Valley, yet private and peaceful property. Highly recommend!
What an amazing experience staying at this cozy cabin nestled in the woods. The cabin was in perfect location for everything we were wanting to do, and made for a seamless vacation for us. We will definitely be back!
Like others have said, this cabin is in a very private location, which was a big plus. Both the interior and the surrounding property are really nice, and Laura was very accommodating. One of the better rentals I've visited, would highly recommend
This cabin is ideally located between Burlington and great hiking areas like Mount Mansfield. We enjoyed using it as a base to explore the area. Everything needed was provided including a washer and dryer.
The cabin is nestled in a wooded area, beside a picturesque stream well located not far from Burlington or Stowe, in the other direction. The cabin is comfortable, intimate, with all the amenities one could want. We appreciate a quiet setting and there was no external noise apart from the sound of the stream, which was great. It was a most suitable accomodation for a brief Vermont holiday.
What a great cabin! Pluses: Laura was great, Everything you needed was already in the cabin, not missing paper towels, utensils, shampoo, nothing missing. Great location not far from Burlington but out of the way. Very helpful information in guest book. Very clean. BEAUTIFUL stream right behind the cabin we would listen to it at night. We will be back again
I stayed at Laura’s cabin with my partner this past weekend. Everything was perfect! We went into Stowe during the day and the cabin was just the right distance to feel like a secluded getaway and still close to fun things to do. The cabin itself is gorgeous and full of charm. It was clean and had plenty of games and books if we wanted. Check in and out we’re both very easy. Thank you for a great weekend!
Cabin was clean and comfortable. It was a great location for our family of 4 to conveniently explore downtown Burlington area and at the same time have a quiet location to relax in during the evening. Morning coffee on the walking bridge over the brook on the property was enjoyable. You can hear the running brook out the windows. Hosts were very flexible with check in time on day we arrived and allowed us to arrive early which extended our day! We would consider booking again in the future. Neat spot!
We booked this cabin because we wanted a secluded cabin in the woods of Vermont, and that is what we got. There was a lot of road work going on which made it difficult to get to/from the cabin, but that is obviously not the renter's fault. The bedroom is very crowded because it has both a queen and a twin size bed. It might be better without the twin size bed. There is only one bathroom with an accordion door, so there would not be a lot of privacy if more than one couple stayed in the cabin at the same time. There is a stove with a hearth in the walkway from the main room to the master bedroom. We tripped over the hearth several times. We appreciated the extra touches of a bottle of wine and the variety of coffee for the coffee maker.

Bob,
Our goal is to make staying in our cabin a wonderful experience for all of our guests.
Sorry you felt that the bigger bedroom was crowded. We had other feedback that groups of 4 friends didn’t want to share beds and couples wanted a queen-sized bed and not 2 twins. So that we would still be able to host groups of 4, the best solution was to have one queen bed and one twin bed in the bigger bedroom. We've had feedback that all beds are very comfortable.
I'd like to assure future guests that the accordion door on the bathroom completely closes so anyone in the bathroom has total privacy. None of the couples, families, or groups of friends who have stayed with us have ever commented or complained about this.
Sorry you tripped on the hearth. Making that hearth smaller is on our list of things to be fixed. We'd move the stove if we could, but that's not possible. The stove was there before the bedroom was built.
I'm glad you appreciated the wine and the coffee.
Thanks for taking the time to write a review,

Lovely little cabin, cozy and comfortable. Has everything you need! Beautiful running stream right outside and dirt road for walking/hiking for the perfect Vermont country experience.
Our stay was quite peaceful and just the respite we needed. I especially enjoyed the babbling brook nearby and loved sitting on the decks and listening to the healing water. The beds were comfortable and bathroom clean. We also enjoyed the gas fireplace when it turned colder.
we rented the cabin to enjoy our last few days before UVM freshman move in
the cabin was great, clean and located close enough for all the errands we needed to run
with a perfect place to return to for some peace and family time
Four young sixty-somethings had a wonderful time at the cabin! Great location in between Burlington & Stowe, fully stocked, and a beautiful property. As a host, Laura was very communicative and described the property perfectly. It was a great vacay.
Very nice cabin in the woods. Loved falling asleep to the sounds of the babbling brook. The host communicates well and seems concerned for her guests. We had a wonderful stay.
We were thrilled with this cabin! We wanted to be close to Burlington, yet be able to have some quiet and privacy... and this cabin was perfect!! It had everything our family of four needed while also offering a cozy cabin feel. The beds were very comfortable and we loved having the wood-burning central stove come on in the mornings! Laura provided a ton of information about the area and check-in was simple. It was fun to see the personal touches in the house including the dinner triangle on the porch! We would definitely stay here again.
The perfect spot for my family's trip to Vermont. Not far from places such as Burlington, Waterbury and Stowe, yet remote enough to unwind, relax and just enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. The rushing stream and private bridge on the cabin's property was a bonus! It really felt like home away from home.
The cabin is absolutely adorable. Be prepared to navigate a rutted muddy dirt road during “mud season” in the spring. It’s about 20 minutes from downtown Burlington. The kitchen has the basics, but it’s not set up to do any major cooking or serious baking, which was fine with us. For more simple meals, it was great. We really appreciated the Keurig machine with such a generous stock of teas and coffees! We recommend the place! It’s quaint and quiet and a fabulous place to relax and unwind.
The most wonderful part about this sweet cabin is its location right next to a rushing stream. It's on a dead-end road in the hills, which runs along a beautiful stream, making for beautiful walks. And it's just a hop from the Bolton Valley ski area, a great family ski resort. Laura, the owner, couldn't be nicer.

About the host
Hosted by Laura
Our family built this cabin on 25 acres of land in the early 1970s. Since then it has been updated, added on to, and been given the modern amenities and conveniences that we like to have when we are there, all while keeping the original charm and coziness.
Why they chose this property
Anyone looking for an authentic VT getaway, far from it all, but also close to it all, will thoroughly enjoy their stay here.
What makes this property unique
The babbling brook is another added attraction. The water running and bubbling over the rocks provides peaceful and relaxing background sounds!
