The Rock Creek Cabin Hideaway is the perfect place to enjoy some unspoiled seclusion in the Montana wilderness! You'll find endless activities to enjoy no matter what time of year you choose to stay. The property borders thousands of acres of Forest Service land for you to explore. Bring your fishing and hunting gear, snowmobile, or ATV!
The first thing you'll notice when you arrive, besides the spectacular views, is how peaceful and quiet the property is!
The home has an open floor plan with a primary bedroom and bathroom on the main floor. Enjoy your morning coffee on the wraparound deck as you relax in the tranquility that Montana offers. You'll find a well-stocked kitchen to prepare meals and lots of amenities to help you feel at home.
Unwind in the evening with a glass of wine and a good book in the loft area, or lounge in the great room and catch up on your favorite TV shows.
On the second floor, you'll find two bedrooms with one Queen size & 1 full-size bed in each room. If some members of your group are comfortable sharing a full-size bed, the home can accommodate up to 14 people.
The loft area has a twin size daybed with a trundle.
Between the upstairs bedrooms is a bathroom with a clawfoot tub. The tub has a shower setup installed if you prefer to shower rather than take a bath.
On the lower level, you'll find the laundry area, another bedroom, full bathroom, and a mudroom that has also been referred to as the “fly-tying room.” The downstairs bedroom has a King size bed and a crib.
The property includes Rock Creek river frontage on both the main channel and a tributary.
Additional Cabin
If you need a little extra space, there is a small cabin across the road from the house that can be rented separately. We offer a 20% discount on the smaller cabin when you book it along with this listing.
The smaller cabin may already be booked during your preferred dates, so please message me for availability, more details, and a link to the cabin.
Weddings and Events
This location would be perfect for a wedding or an event. If you'd like to hold an event at the house, please message me for pricing and other details.
A Few Things to Note
1. Four-wheel drive is required in winter. Rock Creek Road is county maintained, but the driveway to the home is steep and requires 4WD. We recommend carrying chains just in case.
2. This house is not suitable for babies or children. The spindles on both the deck and loft are spaced far apart and do not provide a safe barrier to prevent children from falling. The spiral staircase connecting the home's levels is also unsafe for children.
Please make sure everyone in your group is comfortable using a spiral staircase. The lower-level bedroom can be accessed through a separate entrance for anyone who prefers to avoid the stairs. Guests staying in the upstairs bedrooms must use the spiral staircase.
3. There is no cell phone service in the area. The home has fast, fiber Wi-Fi internet, and you can make calls using Wi-Fi calling on your device.
4. While the property offers tributary and river frontage, you do have to walk a few minutes from the house to get to the tributary. A bridge runs through the property that allows you to cross it to hike to the main river instead of wading the tributary.
