We truly enjoyed the home and all it had to offer. Beautiful interior with everything you’d need to stay for a weekend or a full week. Quiet neighborhood right on the water. Easy drive to local breweries and attractions. Definitely would recommend
Mark was very accommodating and response! Home was beautiful and location was perfect for our trip. Nice quiet neighborhood and beautiful environment! Lake is right across street and easier access was an easy walk
This is a great place to stay for several days. There’s a washer/dryer, dishwasher, full kitchen with plenty of cooking supplies (utensils, spices, pots, etc.), and a few cozy pieces of furniture to spend time winding down at the end of a day out and about. I was surprised by how spacious it was- especially the bathroom! I think it’s more budget friendly than other options in the area as well. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
Location was perfect for us, as family has a lake place less than a mile away (too small for all of us). Owner was very responsive, friendly. Kitchen, master and bathroom area were spacious, clean and nicely stocked for sleeping, bathing, and cooking. Back room is a walk across a concrete floored garage (unit is a converted garage) away, which is challenging in the middle of the night to the bathroom unless light by main unit is left on. Room had a queen bed, which was comfortable, and a full/twin bunk. We knew, based on other reviews, that the back room would not have AC. What we did not realize was that the only window in the room would not have a screen, and that a cedar closet would render the room stuffy and uncomfortable. The first night, my husband and my throat and eyes burned, so we brought a air purifier from family over, which helped. We would consider the place again if back room ventilation is improved.

Adequate, Strong musty odor, awkward layout
I don't like to give negative reviews. Well, here goes. This is a partially converted garage, A stong musty smell was pervasive and pretty unpleasant. The listing photos show mostly nicer furniture that is no longer in the rental. Lots of dust/cobwebs on the ceiling. Sand on the floor. Bugs (earwigs and spiders). Not grimy at all, just not clean. No window covering on the large picture window in the living space, so you're in full view of the neighbors. To get to the second bedroom you have to exit the main space, re-enter the concrete-floor garage and take a left. One small window and no A/C in that room. This place worked for us because we only needed a bed, but our clothes smelled bad for literally days after check-out. We wouldn't rent this place again.
The property seems to be a nice little lake get-a-way. However, we were not there for a lake get-a-way, we were there to work. Because we were there for work, we had to buy an iron to use because there was not one. I questioned about air conditioning in the unit before booking, I was told it did have window units (which is true, just not through-out the WHOLE unit, only in the main area- one bedroom/bathroom/and living room/kitchen the other bedroom DID NOT have air). Thankfully, we were there during a cool snap and it wasn't unbearable. Had it been much hotter, we would have all had to of slept in the living room area. We had a problem with a leak under the bathroom sink on our second morning there, Mark was very prompt in getting that seen about for us. The unit was pretty clean but there were some spider webs that needed some attention. When I book a place to stay, I expect it to accommodate anyone planning to stay, I'm not sure this lived up to my expectations. Seemed to be more of a place where you spend all day at the lake and come in and shower and go to bed.

Thanks for the feedback Nicole! I really appreciate it.
We've since added an iron to our place for all our future guests, and updated our listing to be clearer about where air conditioning exists and where it doesn't.
We were very pleased with our stay! Mark was very friendly and helpful, and we had no issues or complaints during our stay whatsoever. If you’re looking for a fun getaway near the lake, look no further!
Enjoyed our time at this property and adjacent property across the street. Worked very well in combination for larger group. Very clean, great communication, everything went as planned. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.
