This cottage belonged to my grandmother and I have many memories sitting around her red kitchen table. I hope you and your loved ones create fun and forever lasting memories around that same red kitchen table when you stay at Time And Tide.

We love dogs and know that taking them along on vacation is a must sometimes. I allow one dog with a $75 non refundable charge .I sometimes make exceptions for an additional smaller dog, but please ask first . PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE PET FEE IN YOUR RESERVATIONS.

Our yard is not fenced but we have plenty of room to walk in the back yard . If they've played at the beach, I have provided special towels for your dog to dry them after they're rinsed off from the hose we provide on the deck. Please no dogs on the furniture and beds and PLEASE clean up after your dog in the yard.. Thank you for loving your doggies and we hope they have a great time too. Feel free to ask any questions about our policy. ALSO A NATURE TRAIL THAT I HAVE PICTURED BOTH IN MY PHOTOS.

Grandma's Cottage by the Sea

The most welcoming place, decorated so beautifully. Walked through the door and immediately relaxed. Holli has thought of everything. From the littlest of decorative touches to bikes and boogie boards. We had a marvelous time.

MCM Dream!!

My friends and I absolutely loved our stay here! We enjoyed playing games on the red table, listening to records on the turntable, and grilling out on the patio. The host provided beach chairs and an umbrella which we were very thankful for. Would absolutely return, this place is a gem in OBX!

Loved all of the midcentury touches in this adorable close-to-many things cottage! Lots of amenities for the dogs too. Owner very communicative- highly recommend!

Lovey cozy little getaway

We absolutely loved the house. Had everything we needed to feel at home for a few days. I would love to come back and rent from Holli again. We truly felt home away from home.

Perfect beach getaway

Holli’s cottage was so warm and welcoming! The location is just a short hop to very convenient public beach parking. She has the most thoughtful accommodations to be able to spend vacay with your dog as well! She was easy to reach if needed and gave wonderful recommendations for local favorite restaurants/breweries. Our stay couldn’t have been better!

Kitty Hawk Getaway

The property was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The location was good for us as it was near a trail we could walk our dog. It is about a mile from beach and other activities. You do have to be careful pulling out with your car especially turning left because of the curve of the road. Having said that, we were impressed with all amenities that were provided from a filtered water pitcher in refrigerator, Kuerig, and even qtips in bathroom. The house is very cozy and well decorated. This is our favorite place so far we have stayed through VRBO.

Cute and Cozy

This home was cute and cozy for our short getaway! A lot of thought was put into this vaycation home in terms of everything you needed to be comfortable. We loved the pet amenities provided that made it easy to travel with our pup! The only thing to be careful with is getting in and out of the driveway. The house is located on a road where there are blind spots to get onto the main road, and cars go well above the speeding limit! I know that is not the owners fault, but the city should change something about this.

Comfy Throwback in Kitty Hawk

First, the owners were accommodating and helpful before I ever arrived at the property and even more so during my stay. Walked in the door and had a welcome sign and snacks and brochures on the area. I have never been to Kitty Hawk. If you love to cook, the gas range is perfect and the fully-stocked kitchen has about everything you need to prepare any meal or try a new recipe. This place is perfect for a single person or a couple's retreat. Furnishings are stylish and new, but you still get the 1950s feel they were going for. Minutes from the beach, 1hr 15 minutes from Cape Hatteras. Outside deck and wash area are ample for cleaning up after the beach. Call Bryan & Holli and they will bring you more firewood for the firepit during your stay. On a personal note, I truly needed to relax and forget about life for a while and this spot fit the bill to a "T". I will be going back to this property first opportunity I get...

This little cottage was so cute and comfortable. The amenities supplied were fantastic. The kitchen had pots, pans, dishes, silverware etc right down to kitchen towels and dish soap. Loved that there was a Keurig coffee maker with supplied pods. The bathroom was stocked with hair shampoo, conditioner, towels, toilet paper and even bathroom spray. We brought a lot of our own supplies but they really weren’t needed. The bed we slept in was comfortable and the black out curtains were a nice touch. After spending a day out sightseeing it was wonderful to come back to a place that feels like home. We brought our mini dachshund and there were dog treats for him and two bowls. I would highly recommend staying here especially if you like a vintage style cottage.

The cottage was as described, we came in for a wedding with a senior dog and this place hit the mark, and then some. There ain't a fenced yard but that did matter, there is plenty of room to walk them outside. The home is older but well kept and clean! Cute spot off of the main drag, which is really nice and conveniently close to all the things OBX has to offer!

This property was very cute and cozy. It was not far from anything. It was a very quick drive to the beach or to the grocery store. We are happy it had two bedrooms so my husband and I could stay in one and our almost one year-old in the other. This property is also dog friendly so that made this quick vacation a whole lot easier on us.

Big Mistake

We were very disappointed in this property. Upon entering we encountered a strong musty smell. The floors in the property were crazy…especially near the bathroom (not quaint but dangerous- my spouse actually fell). Tried to sit outside but never realized how close we were to a swamp. Got many bug bites. Overall, while some people may enjoy the “quaintness “ I would definitely not recommend this property.

My family enjoyed our short stay at this very clean and conveniently located property in Kitty Hawk. We appreciated the outdoor shower and beach gear for our trips to the beach. Host was super responsive and helpful! Holli even brought us a new umbrella once she heard we had issues with the existing one. We will definitely come back!

Vintage charm

Holli’s family property was absolutely adorable and the fact that it has been in her family since the 50s and still has the family’s kitchen table just adds to the charm. It is a quick and easy drive to the beach and the lot is wooded and private. Holli was an amazing hostess. She was quick to offer suggestions for restaurants and easy to follow directions for check in. Holli keeps the house equipped the great extras like cotton swabs, body washes, dog shampoos and other things too. Holli also responded so quickly to questions. We were struggling with how to use the AC, and even in the middle of the night, she still responded. We have already shared her listing with friends, and I’m sure we will stay again. Thank you Holli for a great spring break getaway.

We loooove dogs and we know you do too, but some dogs react differently to new surroundings so we would ask that you please crate your dog when you are not there. Kitty Hawk is centrally located for all your sightseeing and beach going needs.
Time and Tide Cottage was my grandmother's home built in '52. My husband and I have renovated it back to where it should be, a place of joy, rest and contentment. I know my grandmother would be proud.
