In the heart of an old Bajan neighborhood sits this Villa that was once a family home built by the owner’s ancestor over 70 years ago. It features 18 inch limestone outer walls which keep the interior cool on hot days. Villa Dorothea, named for the matriarch who build it, has 3 bedrooms and 2 updated full bathrooms. East-facing bedrooms give optimal airflow and also come equipped with ceiling fans and A/C wall units. The large, fully equipped and modern kitchen is a chef’s delight and relaxing is so easy with spacious living and dining areas as well as a large, breezy balcony. A barbecue is also available for use on the balcony. If you’re working while you stay or catching up on the latest Netflix series, the high speed (300Mbps) WiFi keeps you connected.
Villa Dorthea is a short walk to the beach and many restaurants including the Worthing Court food trucks nestled sit under a giant breaded fig tree for which the island was named (Los Barbados). The British dropped the 'Los.'

For what. The host charges the place needs to be updated, furniture very old and replaced. The washing machine leaked terribly all over the hall way floor. It was reported to the host. There was a type of repair but it still leaked badly.
The house needs definitely updating the floors tho clean looked dirty. Would I stay again, no I’m afraid I will not.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, Kevin. Guests’ feedback is invaluable to us and helps to inform future guests. After reading your review I realize that while “Traditional Bajan Home” hints that there are aspects of the old world to the place. It doesn’t clearly state that the furniture is mostly very old because it’s mostly antique pieces. The blend of modernized bathrooms and kitchen together with the traditional limestone 18 inch walls and comfortable antique furniture are part of the charm we seek to bring to our guests. We’re sorry that you were expecting to find brand new furnishings and that it diminished the pleasure of your stay with us.
We’ve updated our description to include that there are antiques.
We appreciate your feedback on the floors. They were freshly refinished in October 2021, nonetheless, taking your feedback into consideration we’ll look at having them redone in May 2022. We would like to improve the finish so the floors feel fresher.
We apologize for the washing machine going bad during your visit. We have had a technician in to fix it.

Would definitely recommend this property. It is a beautiful bajan villa situated in a quiet residential area, that is a very short walk to restaurants and the beach. Well maintained with everything we needed.
What made it special for us was the lovely welcome from Charmaine who was waiting for us on arrival to show us the villa. She then took us in her car to familiarise us with the neighbourhood and shopping for firstnight essentials at the supermarket.
She kept in touch with us via whats app and even dropped off umbrellas when it rained.
She is a wonderful host.
