Spectacular Mountain View

The 4 of us were looking for a roomy, yet cozy place. We wanted a hot tub. We wanted a view. We wanted several bedrooms and bathrooms. We wanted outdoor space. We wanted someplace private and not too difficult to get to in the mountains, yet not far from Bryson City. We got it all. The unit was well stocked. The small issue we had on day one was rapidly addressed and repaired. Linens were top notch quality. We had a great time and would recommend this unit. The picture of the view from this unit as shown on the VRBO site is most accurate!

refreshing at a Majestic Mountain, majestic mountain

Majestic mountain was the perfect getaway for my family, and I to unplug, decompress, relax, and have a wonderful time together. The cabin was beautiful and the overlooks were incredible. No place is perfect but I will say that the management team was excellent and promptly addressed any concerns that we had. The light fixtures are a bit wonky here and an instructional book would have been helpful. All in all this was a wonderful vacation in the spot that was perfect for us!

Nice property with beautiful views but check music events schedule

Comfortable property with great views. Very short drive to Bryson City. There is quite a bit of road noise so don’t expect silence. We also had the bad luck of booking when a hip hop festival was happening in the valley below. VERY loud until midnight Friday and Saturday night.

Final review

We enjoyed our stay. We did some light cleaning when we arrived - floors needed swept. Downstairs room need the bed made - we found the sheets in the dryer. The hot tub looked fine when we arrived and we did use it, however, we discovered the filter was disgusting and no chemicals in the floating device. We stopped using it due to that. It's been awhile since the filter has been changed.

Girls Weekend

Four of us stayed here for a three-night girls weekend and it was fabulous! Everything was clean and the beds were so comfortable. The host checked in a few times to ensure we had everything we needed (without being disruptive or intrusive...just courteous). Much time was spent on the deck looking over the valley to the mountains beyond. I was able to truly relax for the first time in quite a while. I would definitely book this cabin again if staying in the area! Thanks for a perfect weekend!

Overall, very nice, cozy, comfortable accommodations with a beautiful view.

Our stay included 7 adults. A few minor suggestions for future rental...Needs a deep cleaning in the kitchen (window sill, cabinets, floor, and please get rid of the broken/rusted dish soap pump "mason jar", also a fresh dish sponge for each new guest would be nice), fireplace mantle needs a good dusting, replace burned out/missing light bulbs over main level shower, laundry area, bedside table, dining room chandelier, living room chandelier and wall "half wheel"). The kitchen cabinets need to be better organized and cleaned (a few glasses were visibly smudged), there was no can opener of any kind, and the oven mits/pot holders need to be replaced (old/stained). The Fooseball table has some broken pieces inside, and the game cabinet may need a thorough inventory for missing pieces (it was a bit messy). A few of the online photos and description are a bit misrepresented...the loft/bonus room with 2 beds is a very short ceiling, not exactly suitable for adults over 5'... and that room has to share one of the other bedroom's en suite bath to utilize restroom facilies. (It's probably fine if you have small children, but it is a bit awkward for adults). There is no access to the 4th bedroom from inside...guests must go outside from driveway or deck. Floors under the beds need a good "swiffering" and personal items left behind by previous renters should be placed in a lost and found bin or discarded (2 sets of children's pj's left in dresser, and full makeup bag and an enema kit left under bathroom sink in basement room. ) I did appreciate the spacious refrigerator, and the thick, soft, quality bath towels and washcloths. The hot tub had fresh, clean water and was very relaxing. We were happily surprised to see the Polar Express train on its journey, it was beautiful to see each rail car lit up from our porch view. We enjoyed the cozy fireplace, as well as roasting marshmallows outside over the firepit. The Christmas tree was a nice touch for seasonal ambiance. I would stay here again.

Spent Christmas in the mountains!

Our original cabin canceled when we were in route to Bryson City from Florida. We were in a pinch to find a cabin that met our expectations of a mountain Christmas on December 23rd. I reached out to many cabins with minimal response. I messaged the owner and she immediately responded. Communication was outstanding! The cabin is very cozy and the views are spectacular! You are surrounded by mountains on all sides. You are just a short drive to Bryson City and many other towns are nearby. Plenty to do! We loved the oversized fireplace, wood burning stove, jacuzzi with amazing views, comfortable beds, separate basement room- very comfortable! We feel like this was a blessing in disguise stumbling upon this cabin! You will be very happy with your accommodations staying here.

Wasn't impressed

The cabin wasn't as clean as we expected it to be. We rent a cabin in the mountains every year for the past 15 years so we have experience with cabin rentals. Socks from previous renters under beds. Very dusty. Sheets left in dryer and dishes left in dish washer when we arrived, so we had to fold the sheets and put away the dishes. The description of sleeping areas was not correct. There was no sleeper sofa/futon as stated in bedroom 4 of description. Bedroom in basement could only be accessed from the outside. Doors and windows were very drafty, we stayed in December so it was cold. We had no idea they also rented the small area attached to the carport called the sugar shack. There were renters in that property when we arrived and we had no privacy on our cabins back porch hot tub area as the sugar shack is about 30 feet from that backporch and saw the other renters looking at us from their side windows of the sugar shack. Felt very uncomfortable. I feel that needs to be disclosed in the main cabins description. We like to rent these cabins for their privacy. The cabin needs some updates and maintenance. The oven door needs adjusting it wouldn't shut all the way so never preheated which made baking hard. The wood stove in dining area needs resealing, it allowed smoke to come out while burning. You could see the fire from the sides of the stove through the seams. Pillows on beds were awful, flat and no support at all. Cabins says sleeps 9 but only seating for 5 in living room area. 1 couch and 2 recliners. There were 2 wooden rocking chairs which were very uncomfortable to set in for a period of time. We enjoyed our stay in Bryson city and made the most of the accommodations but would not rent this property again.
