Mike and I enjoy travel and have worked in office environments for most of our careers and was the need to open our farm to others like us, in need of a respit. Farming has been part of our families history for generations. Mike and I started (salvaged) this one to continue our quest to be good stewards of our surroundings and share this with others.

Why they chose this property

After searching for over 20 years, multiple states, this land and home struck a chord with us. The rolling topography, old beaver dam, smattering of outbuildings and a humble 'Carolina T House' is everything we had hoped for. Through it, we pay homage to those who worked the land before us and complement it with a touch of modern updating. Actually, enhanced modern conveniences coupled with simple pleasures is what this home and setting is all about. We love to share this is everyone!

What makes this property unique

Enjoy today's rustic charm of a cedar clad original footprint farm house that took 3 years to bring it back from the brink of demolition to its pristine condition today. When you truly want to sit quietly and absorb the complete serenity of over 100 years of 'being' this home and setting now provides just that. With a short walk past the original oak corn crib to the fern valley of the Little River (it's a creek) and across the bridge to the open field or adjacent trail along the perimeter; it all encourages simple-ness, quiet reflection, soft walking, deep breathing. When back at the home, pick up a book, settle in with some tea and let time drift by.
