I love the fact that there was so much light during the day however, I would recommend putting up shades or curtains to close off the windows and doors.

Thank you for your gracious response. So nice to have hosted you!
We really enjoyed this house. We were hoping for something out of the city but not too hard to get to and this was a perfect balance. We had fun watching the fireflies each evening.

Wonderful to know this! Thanks for taking care of the house so well and for enjoying the fireflies! They are so funny!
Truly enjoyed the stay. Awesome communication. Great property. Great location. The house is beautiful and has everything a person could ask for. Thank you for letting us stay with you.
Stayed with my family, a newborn, and a teenager and the place was perfect for them. One guest room connects to the master bedroom, which was perfect for the baby's room. The area is quiet with plenty of nature. The amenities were thoughtful, and everything worked well for us. We will definitely stay here again if in the area! Anabela was a great communicator as well. NOTE: Please screenshot the information and door code BEFORE arriving at property, because there is no cell service there! We had to drive down the road a bit to get service enough to see the VRBO app for the code.

So happy you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for selecting to stay at the FarmHouse.
This place was perfect for spending time with our small scattered family. The house has been tastefully renovated and is well stocked. The owner is very personable and helpful. We loved being away from the hustle and bustle in our own corner of the woods and would certainly consider staying there again if the occasion arises.

I am delighted that you enjoyed staying at the Farm house. Hope you can return.
The house was nicely decorated with large windows and views of the woods all around. The open concept allowed us to cook and visit at the same time. Everything was very clean and well cared for. There was a fire pit in the back yard which we used each night. The host obviously put a lot of thought into the house and the setting.

It was a pleasure hosting you. I am delighted to know you enjoyed your time there. Thanks for selecting my house for your holiday.
Lovely wooded setting in a quiet convenient location. Comfortable and extremely clean with ample room to move about. The house was tastefully furnished with full amenities to make our stay comfortable. The walking path was really cute and it opened up to small sitting area where one could sit and enjoy some quiet or a good book. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you Anabela for making us feel "at home".

Thank you, Angela. Great stays are because of great guests!
Great property, great farmhouse. We were in town for a funeral in Chapel Hill and needed a place to stay that was big enough to accommodate 6 peoples, including my parents and young kids. (without breaking the bank). This fit that bill perfectly. The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, the interior of the house was clean. Only downside is that I didn't see any firepit. The backyard was heavily overgrown with weeds and grass... while beautiful and naturalistic, I had no idea where to go to find this firepit that was on the listing; I looked around briefly but did not scour all over. I never asked the homeowner, so that's on me for not asking. Overall I would recommend the property for a short visit.

Thank you for your review, Joe.
You are correct: the fire pit is not there anymore and I forgot to update the listing. We are waiting for the septic system to be relocated away from the house and then a marvelous patio installed attached to the house. We had to remove the fire pit to cut some trees to make room for a future cottage at the top of the hill facing the back of the house. The busy construction scene in Durham is making us have to wait for construction to start. But we have a date now. Please do return and check out the new yard and landscaping ... coming soon!
This was by far the WORST rental we have ever had. The location has ZERO cell reception. There are NO drapes/blinds on ANY of the downstairs windows. Therefore every peeping Tom’s dream come true. Not to mention you are in a wooded area so feeling safe is NOT an option. No trash can in the kitchen. Soiled (blood) comforter in the master bedroom. The front door does not lock from the outside. So if you leave the house it’s pretty much WIDE open. But most importantly make sure the OWNER remembers when your arrival date is. We had to go 3 miles up the road to call the owner and get a door code bc she NEVER sent one in the confirmation email, and when I called her at 9:30 pm she said “your stay doesn’t start until tomorrow.” Clearly the house was in no shape or form ready for us and we definitely felt every bit of it. I should of went with my gut when she sent me an email asking us to switch houses prior to our arrival bc another family was staying longer and they would have to switch houses after we left bc they didn’t plan correctly and book the house BEFORE me. She didn’t want to inconvenience them. Needless to say we stayed one night and got a hotel for the remainder of our stay.

Thank you, Kristin, for your honest response. I am sorry you feel that your stay was a terrible experience. I am sorry you feel this way. Opinions do vary. I was careless to pay attention to your arrival date and I got confused about your arrival's date. I thought it was the next day, you are correct. My mistake... with disastrous consequences. Mea culpa. Peace.
