Great Holiday home in a lovely area

We had a great stay,the property was fantastic and the large garden was great for the kids to run around in. There is loads to do in the local area and 2 weeks was mot long enough to see it all!

Very pleasant family holiday

Overall we had a wonderful stay at haus Schmedte. The children loved all the toys, the playground but also the nice surroundings of Kalterherberg. Would book the house again in the future.

Probably the cleanest place I’ve ever rented. A very friendly owner. Everything was exactly as described. Everything could be arranged in advance. I highly, highly recommend it.

Amazing for kids!

This place was really incredible. Any question I had about the property was immediately addressed! The kids loved the game room. Everyone was comfortable and we felt very safe even with our 3 year old. You can tell they took a lot of attention to every detail to make it a pleasant experience for children and adults!

Well equiped and lovely house

We had an great stay in holiday home Schmedte. The house was spotless clean, very well equiped and cosy. The owners are excellent hosts. The house is great in all seasons, we stayed in winter and there was plenty of entertainment for both adults and children and the house was lovely and warm. We can only recommend. Thanks a lot, Jochen and Natalie!

Comfortable home near Monschau but far from tourists

Jochen's holiday house was a comfortable place to stay away from the throngs of tourists but still be close enough to Monschau for us to visit it as often as we wanted. The food around us was good, the pizza restaurant was excellent and extremely affordable. We've gotten a taste for Bitburger beer, thanks to Jochen's introduction to it and we will be buying it at home from now on too. The house is amazing, a great place to spend a day when it's raining with all the games to play with the family and we really unwound. The neighbourhood was beautiful, neat, clean and very friendly - everyone we met greeted us. Our only gripe is that we can't move there permanently. Other things we did were to go to Aachen's cathedral, the Lindt factory, Monschau and the local waffle shop at the abandoned rail (with the rail bikes) which was a short walk across the border into Belgium. Thank you Jochen for an incredible holiday and your wonderful hospitality.

Wir (zwei Ehepaare) waren hellauf begeistert von der Unterkunft, der Sauberkeit, dem überaus netten und zuvorkommenden Vermieter, der jederzeit ansprechbar war und vor allem dem Spielzimmer, wo Abends so manche Billiard Runde gespielt wurde. Das Haus bietet alles, was sich Urlauber wünschen, mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fast vor der Tür und dient als guter Ausgangsort für Wanderungen im deutsch/belgischen Grenzgebiet. Wir können das Haus nur empfehlen!

Dit vakantiehuis is perfect om heen te gaan met kinderen. Aan werkelijk alles is gedacht, je hoeft zelf geen speelgoed mee te nemen. Onze dochter van 3 heeft zich vooral in de speelhoek boven heel goed vermaakt. Bij het inchecken en uitchecken wordt meegedacht en ook als je vragen hebt is de eigenaar erg behulpzaam. Wij hebben een hele leuke vakantie gehad!

Sehr zufrieden :)

Wir waren zu fünft in der Unterkunft (4 Erwachsene, ein baby). Besonders gut fanden wir die Ausstattung der Unterkunft :) Bis nach Monschau Altstadt sind es 9 Minuten mit dem Auto. In kaltherberge hat man alles was man braucht (kleiner Supermarkt, Bäcker). Wir kommen gerne wieder. Für Kinder, die etwas älter als ein paar Monate sind, stehen in der und um die Unterkunft herum eine Vielzahl. An Spielsachen zur Verfügung.

Das Haus war super, toll ausgestattet und genau wie im Inserat angegeben. Herr Leyendecker war sehr freundlich und hat uns nett empfangen und verabschiedet. Wir hatten ein super Wochenende.
