New for us, there is no cleaning fee, so the price is what you see. We are on the Tuckasegee River a mile from downtown. We would be considered a tiny home or park model cabin. Guests have said it is big enough for your family of 4 to not feel cramped. Located in the Great Smoky Mountains, we are close to hiking, rafting, tubing, and kayaking. You'll feel right at home if you enjoy any of these activities, or just want to relax and enjoy the river view. Fishing from the deck is definitely a plus. We had a short but nice 2 night stay in the early fall. We slept comfortably and enjoyed waking up with the river right beside us. The cabin is nicely decorated and well stocked to cook if you prefer. You can fish right off the deck.
Great owner! Beautifully decorated, pet friendly; cozy, cabin-style mini home! There's a great covered deck overlooking the river. Cabin is stocked will with all you need to cook with. The bed sleeps well. A/C works great. Awesome location on the river and very close to town. Definitely a must stay again kind of rental.

Thank you Kelly you are always welcome anytime you’re in the area!
The best place to stay in the area. People are nice, the view and scenery are amazing. Cabin 4 is love! Close to everything. Thank you Bryson City Till next time! God bless! - Mike and Kristine
Property owner, Tammy, was amazing and easy to communicate with. Little cabin was cute, clean and in a great location. The covered porch was amazing and feeding the ducks a huge perk. We were not there much and didn't cook there but it was comfortable and met all of our needs. There are other cabins close to this one but there was no noise or anything. You really felt like you were there by yourself. We will be staying again soon.

Natalia it was so nice to meet you and your family. We are happy you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to you returning.
The cabin was beautiful. We thought we were booking a cabin with easy direct fishing access and that wasn't the case. Also I don't remember reading that we were in a campground. Everything was quiet at night though. The host was very nice and helpful with questions about the area.

Brenda it was a pleasure meeting a fellow Buckeye. I'm sorry you didn't realize it was in the campground, it clearly states that in the first few sentences of the description. Not sure why you felt you couldn't fish right from the deck.We do appreciate the king words though and will keep Ryan in our prayers. Best of luck in your new home as well.
The cabin water wasn’t working when we checked in. There’s a store right down the rd an I wouldn’t get out cause it was trashy, the river was nasty.

The campground had a broken valve and the issue was repaired within a very short time about an hour. Not sure what the gas station had to do with the campground and the cabin. The river is a beautiful place and we’re sore you felt the way you did.

Comfortable and clean
Unfortunately I became sick while there , we had to leave a day early. I was unable to climb the stairs to the loft so I slept on the sofa.

I’m so sorry you were sick. you had said you weren't really feeling good before you came. I'm sorry it became too much for you to have a good time. We would love to have you back, maybe next time choose one our rentals that doesn't have the lofts. As it says they are best for kids and young adults.
Cabin was clever, clean and very cute. It was not the kind of campground we expected (no woods, greenspace, etc.) and the cabin was one of several close together. That said, folks were very friendly, the deck was right on the river with tremendous amount of birds, people fishing. Saw herons, eagles and families of geese. Stayed on the deck much of the time we were at the cabin. Noticed many of the campgrounds in the area were this sort. Host was very accommodating.

First of all, I have never left a bad review and I’ve stayed at numerous places in the mountains so this is my first. Beware! Cabin is in an Rv park. Sugar ants throughout the cabin. Checking in, I had to get with the neighbor then 20min later he had to get with his wife to get the code. The digital lock works about half the time. The window unit AC WILL NOT cool down the cabin. It’s basically a sweat lodge in the summer. Broken glass in the Rv park from weekend stayers. Cut my furry friends paw (nothing major) but bad enough for him to limp the rest of the trip. Not enough water pressure to shower and do dishes at the same time, it’s one or the other. Large burner on the stovetop does not work. The permanent Neighbors are about the most unpleasant people I’ve seen. If this cabin was free, I still wouldn’t stay here again.

Jesse, I am shocked at all of this. I apologize for a terrible experience however not once did you reach out to me about anything or I would’ve tried to do something to make it better. First, it is in my description that We are located in the campground. You met with the Campground host. I’m sorry if she wasn’t there at the moment and you had to talk to her husband. I’m sorry no one was complained about ants but thank you for bringing it to my attention. It will definitely be sprayed. As for water pressure I’m not sure what was going on. The AC typically does just fine and if you look back through my reviews, I don’t think anyone has complained about it.We thank you for bringing all of your concerns to our attention. I will address them immediately.
My son and I came to Bryson to do some trout fishing. This cabin and location worked perfectly for our purposes. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. The view from the deck of the river was great.
This spot has it all! Bryson is a quiet little town with great food and friendly people! The views from the cabin are beautiful! Listening to the river and getting to see the train go by is a daily treat. We were here for 5 days and got to hike the Appalachian trail, see waterfalls, fish the Tuck, and relax. We went to Tennessee, and South Carolina too. This is a centrally located spot with lots to do or all the comforts to just relax.

About the host
Hosted by Tammy Iadonisi 828-736-1215
I have been hosting for over 17 years. We started with with The Cottage which is now a full time rental. It's been a great experience and we have made lifetime friends through our rentals. We have 5 rentals 3 have now become long term for less work, (we have retired.) We sold 1 cabin and Fisherman's Dream is our only vacation rental left. We still have 1 cabin for sale if you're interested:) We have loved hosting!
Why they chose this property
We chose the Cabins on the river because of the beautiful scenery from the deck and porch. We thought we could capitalize on the beauty to supplement our income. We were fast approaching retirement. We've had them now for about 8 years and enjoyed every minute of it. We recently sold one of them and are trying to sell another. However, Fisherman's Dream will remain in our family and be enjoyed by generations to come as well as guests old and new.
What makes this property unique
We have owned three of the cabins in the Bear Hunter Campground and been the longest running owners. We pride ourselves on our cleanliness, hospitality and hard work. We stay in the cabins ourselves frequently to see if we need to address anything. When someone comments on something we really take it serious. Although we will never be able to make everyone happy. Not everyone likes a soft/hard bed, so we can't always change that, but if we could we'd try. We'd love the chance to host you and make your vacation everything you want it to be.
