About this property
BURGUNDY : LOVELY HOUSE WITH A VIEW ON THE COUNTRYSIDE
We invite you to stay in our country house: we love to stay there with our families, grandchildren, and friends. It will offer you a wonderful stay, with its garden opening onto the surrounding nature.
The house is accessible by train from Paris (2 hours), with the station a 15-minute walk away. Bike rentals are available in the village.
The accommodation consists of two houses: the main house, with a living room, kitchen, and dining room on the ground floor; a double room and bathroom on the first floor; a master suite and bathroom on the second floor. And a small house in the garden housing: a double bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor; and a bedroom with two single beds on the first floor.
AMENITIES:
Sheets and towels provided, baby bed, garden furniture, equipped kitchen and dishes, dishwasher, washing machine, clotheshorse, Wi-Fi, television, children's games, and parking in front of the house.
WHAT WE LOVE:
- In the heart of Burgundy, a wine region with beautiful landscapes, fine restaurants and food ;
- Home in the heart of a charming, lively and vibrant village: on-site bakery/tea room, community café, and a pleasant café-restaurant beside the river during the spring and summer season;
- Supermarket, all necessary shops and a weekly market 6 km away;
- Trains or buses to Vézelay, and the medieval cities of Auxerre, and Avallon;
- Numerous hiking trails (the Way of St. James);
- Car-free bike rides along the canals: perfect for children!
- Riverside beaches accessible on foot or by bike from the house;
- Surroundings: the famous pilgrim city of Vézelay, the vineyards of Chablis and Irancy, the cherry blossoms in spring, the medieval towns of Auxerre and Avallon, etc.;
- Numerous festivals and events in the region during the summer: music festivals, village festivals, markets, etc.
WHY WE LOVE THE PLACE :
We love this village because of its friendliness, mutual support and intergenerational connections, for example at the village café.
