Great spot to base yourself near St Gervais. The gondola up from the train station, coupled with the free bus (Ligne 1, get off at Le Chateau) was super handy if you don't have a car. We timed our trip to coincide with the bus (20 minutes past the hour down to the gondola or 50 minutes past the hour going up to apartment).
