Enjoy the peacefulness of El Cortez on Mustang Island, just three miles south of Port Aransas. This two-bedroom second-floor condo is nestled within the tropical landscape and offers all of the amenities of home. The open living room is made up of a large modern sectional with plush pillows which converts into a sleeper sofa, two matching armchairs, a TV and a sliding glass door to the balcony. The full kitchen is equipped with all things needed to prepare a meal with Corian countertops, crisp white cabinets and stainless steel appliances, both a regular drip coffee maker and Keurig, dishes, basic pots, pans and utensils. Sit down for meals at the high-top dining table with seating for four and three additional stools at the breakfast bar. The master bedroom (BR1) contains a King bed, nightstands, closet and a TV. The ensuite bathroom holds a vanity and a tiled shower. The guest bedroom (BR2) is made up of two Queen beds, nightstands and a TV. The ensuite bathroom consists of a vanity and a tub/ shower unit and a full-size washer and dryer for your use during your stay. Take in the ocean breeze while sitting out on the balcony with your morning coffee or cold beverage. This complex offers a new golf cart accessible boardwalk to the beach. After a day of fun at the beach, cool off in the shared pool, or grill up snacks and dinner on the shared grills. El Cortez is just five minutes from Port Aransas offering a variety of restaurants, shops, nightlife and fishing charters.

Affordable with beach access

If affordable is what you’re looking for, this is a great stay. The exterior is extremely dated, but the interior is very well updated and it’s a short walk to the beach. The path to the beach is accessible for golf carts, if that’s your jam definitely rent one, just know you must park it at the tennis courts. Overall, we had a great stay!

And very clean, very comfy beds, had lots of like cups inside plenty of stuff in the kitchen, short, walk to the beach… port a creamery best cart rental. Beach rentals were delivered to us. Pizza place at cinnamon shores is amazing, and is awesome for food sensitivities.

Clean property close to beach, well decorated

We enjoyed our stay at Cortez villas. The condo was well decorated and made us feel like we were at the beach. There were toys and games in the bedroom closet, and beach toys in the container on the porch. All was clean and we were able to use the laundry machines in the bathroom. The only thing is, the sand we tracked in got camouflaged against the similar-colored floor - haha!

The check in process was easy. The accommodations were not good at at. HVAC is old and did not work for 4 days. Portable units were brought in but weren’t set up correctly. Maintenance was in and out the entire stay. Poor water pressure in both bathrooms, shower curtains were dirty and molded, also see the biggest roach run across the floor. I would not recommend this place.

A bit of mixup on checkin since original unit had AC problem. Staff contacted us to move to new unit. Clean and comfortable unit. Vacay beach rentals delivered our chairs snd cooler— nice perk. Could use an awning on patio to shelter for shade.

Very Nice Stay

The condo was immaculately cleaned and very well stocked. It had every comfort of home. The neighborhood was quiet and parking was very convenient. The only drawback for us was the very tiny bathroom in the room across from kitchen. You literally could barely turn sideways without hitting walls. Although it contained a wonderful little balcony, there was no view of the beach--only of the neighboring condos. I could not even get a hint of the ocean scent. All in all a very nice stay.

Spacious updated villa was perfect for our family....

We were VERY happy with this villa. It was so large/clean/comfortable and decorated perfectly. Plenty of living and dining seating for everyone. Nicely equipped kitchen with newer appliances (the only item we needed that it didn't have was a griddle.... it's hard to make pancakes in a skillet). It was great to have a washer and dryer on site. Also, the white hotel quality bedding and towels were appreciated. Not having been to Port A before, I feel so lucky that we picked this villa. Since it is not very close to the bigger resorts or the main beach access roads our part of the beach was very quiet. It was an easy walk to the water....but even better with a golf cart and the private boardwalk access!

Great size for a small family!

Close enough to the beach to walk but a golf cart is ideal! Nice place to stay except for a few issues. The fridge got cold enough to store food safely but the freezer never got cold enough to keep anything frozen. We did have another rental property at the same time so we used the freezer in that property. The shower curtain and tub in the bathroom with the washer/dryer has red mold. It should be cleaned up. There are stickers in the grass next to the sidewalk and stairs. Many stickers found in the carpet in the condo. Stay off the grass, keep to the sidewalk to minimize the number of stickers you bring in.
