Very enjoyable stay
Large and well-equipped property with lovely private outdoor terrace and pool area. Close to Modica with all amenities and a short drive to some great beaches. Kaethe was the perfect hostess. Highly recommended.

Bellissima esperienza. Kaethe è un host perfetto e Casa Linde è una base eccezionale per il Ragusano
Siamo stati benissimo. La casa è perfetta, molto funzionale e molto pulita. Lo spazio esterno è ideale per rilassarsi con la piscina, l’area BBQ , un dondolo enorme, e vari tavoli e sdraio. Pur essendo in una zona abbastanza trafficata, lo spazio esterno è molto privato e rilassante grazie alle bellissime piante e ai muri di cinta. Kaethe è molto gentile e disponibile. La comunicazione è stata perfetta. Abbiamo avuto un piccolo problema col microonde e si è adoperata immediatamente per rimpiazzarlo. Dall la casa è facilissimo raggiungere il centro di Modica ma anche Ragusa, Scicli e varie spiagge nell’arco di 20 minuti o mezz’ora. Speriamo di tornare presto e la consiglierò sicuramente ad amici e parenti

Fabulous stay.
The directions to the house were very good and it was easy to find. Kathe even met us at the gate and showed us the way in! We had loads of space - the lower floor of the house. It was located in a quiet area south of Modica. There was an extensive outside area with ample seating and shade, 2 patios and a lovely swimming pool. The apartment was well equipped. Kathe was a very hospitable host and gave us some homemade marmalade and freshly baked warm cake. We really enjoyed staying here.

beautiful little oasis set in very safe gated grounds. suitable for families or friends to share 5*
Our family inc kids(22yrs & 17yrs)lol, Were literally thrilled as we turned into electric gated villa grounds.Kaethe the host was very welcoming speaking German italian and much more english that I knew italian! Superb trees, palms,flowers, olive trees in a garden & grounds that will be forever jealous of, surround the accommodation on all sides. Plenty of parking. The out door spaces excel with the variety of seating, loungers & table options available to choose from in and out of shade.The good sized pool is kept clean both inside and out. kaethe is very discreet in her pool & grounds maintainace. The accom is set to side of small town, but it's budget cost, so should really expect a little traffic & community sounds. This doesn't however detract from it feeling safe and private. Inside the accom is generous with functional sized bedrooms 2 full bathrooms & washing machine... Which we used daily( August was hot as expected but also very humid!) so only lightest clothes could be worn but no probs, as able to wash & dry in hours. Fabulous location to see historical caves, amazing architecture in nearby towns or beautiful sandy beaches in nature reserves all within 20mins - 45 mins easy car journey THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS ARE NOT ABOUT THE ACCOM,WHICH WAS EXCELLENT **Only warning-Mosquitoes in italy & med there is a new species called TIGER MOSQUITOES. you will need the highest protection even if dont usually get bitten. They shouldn't affect holiday if you have protection. I always react ( have even had two trips to emergency over the years in other countries ) so always take precautions creams sprays candles etc but these mos' bite during day as well as night and causing problems to locals & holiday makers. I used up all my own anti mos' supplies & tried local ones but still ended up in giant red welts. LUCKILY THE BEAUTIFUL POOL SOLVED ITCHING and kept me cool. Would go again in a heart beat

Amazing holiday home, perfect for a family. The pool is so lovely.
The property is spacious and comfortable. The outdoor area is amazing, with so much comfortable seating and a really great barbecue area. Then down a slope to the beautiful pool. A really private area, the pool is so clean, and hardly any chlorine, so no irritating eyes! Kaethe is a very welcoming host, we really enjoyed staying there and meeting her. The surrounding coastline is varied and interesting. Plenty of big waves and sandy beaches. Also great areas for snorkelling in the crystal clear waters. The nearest town, Modica is a lovely day out, and also Scicili is a really interesting town nestled in a deep valley. A wonderful place, sunny climate, but with a nice breeze. Very friendly people. Wholly recommend it.

WELL-EQUIPPED APARTMENT WITH LOVELY HOST
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Linde. It's a spacious very clean and well-equipped apartment with excellent outdoor facilities. In November the pool was closed but there was varied and flexible seating on the extensive patio which enabled us to catch some of the welcome sun. Käthe was a lovely host, bringing us fresh oranges and lemons and some wonderful cake! There are supermarkets nearby and the marvellous baroque town centres of this area are easily accessible. The main road nearby led down to Marina di Modica and we were able to relish warm sun by the Med at the pleasant bar on the beach. There are couple of points worth noting. The TV has just Sky news in English (we took a laptop with downloads and Netflix...). Casa Linde can be found up the road opposite the Peugot/Citroen dealer which leads to the small AST depot (the current HomeAway map shows it further along the main road!). If coming from the motorway from Catania it's better to follow the Google route rather than the Garmin Satnav one we used. We'd recommend Casa Linde as a good all-year-round choice for south-east Sicily.

Brilliant value and a delightful property.
We (m husband and I and two kids aged 4 and 2) were delighted with Kaethe's property. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped - Kaethe had thought of everything you might need. The huge garden was a delight to relax in and the pool was pristine and in a really lovely setting. Kaethe was very welcoming and friendly, baked us a delicious cake, told us when there were local events happening she thought we would enjoy and even bought presents for our children. Casa Linde was in a quiet and felt secluded and was brilliantly placed for visiting all the beautiful towns nearby. You will need a car if you stay here but apart from that it is perfect. Incredibly good value and a wonderful host - I can't recommend it highly enough.

A haven
Such a relaxing place to stay and Kaethe was a gracious and thoughtful host. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel instantly at home. She was on hand to help but discreet so you felt the place was yours to enjoy. The children loved making lemonade from the lemons growing in her garden. All in all, a very happy few days. Highly recommend Kaethe and Casa Linde!

A little oasis of calm and tranquility
A lovely hideaway behind olive trees, flowers and bushes. A private pool, comfort and peace. A lovely outdoor area to sit, eat and relax. The house is well equipped and has everything you need. A warm welcome and homemade cake awaits.

Excellent place to stay
We stayed here for a very enjoyable week and have only good impressions, experiences and memories. Pietro and Kaethe (the hosts) were fabulous - very welcoming, often bringing gifts and always making sure everything was OK. Location was fine, but you do need a car and it is difficult to find (it is down a side road - but this makes it very quiet). however it is a good central spot to explore the surrounding area (Modica, Ragussa and Noto). The gardens are beautiful and the pool must be great in the summer. Highly recommended.

Highly recommendable!
Casa Linde is a very well equipped holiday home, with a large shady patio surrounded by citrus and olive trees. The swimming pool was clean and inviting, even if the water was at this time of year rather cool. Käthe and Pietro were lovely hosts and did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. They even brought us lettuce and lemons from their garden. The accommodation is well situated for trips to the sea and to see all the wonderful Baroque towns in the surrounding area. We visited Ragusa, Noto, Siracusa and of course Modica. We enjoyed the holiday immensely and we would love to come back to Casa Linde in order to see everything we have unfortunately not had time for in a week. We highly recommend this accommodation

Good Rental Property
We have enjoyed 2 weeks here July 2010, the details of the property are accurate and it has everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. Great pool, plenty of shade etc. Two good bedrooms and bathrooms. Pietro has supplied us with fresh lemons, Basil, lettuce and cucumber from his garden, they are great hosts, they even drove us to the Osteria on our wedding anniversary so we could enjoy a drink. We have visited Taormina, Etna, Agrigento, Syracuse and all the nearby Baroque towns. Etna was about 2hrs away. Shops/banks/bars are all nearby, Modca Marina (seaside) just a 15 min drive - go to the western end of Modica Marina further along the road for easier parking and better access to the sea. Tip - If arriving at Catania use the now fully open motorway all the way to Rossolini then come to Modica via Ispica. Follow motorway signs to Syracuse then towards Gela - do not be tempted by the 194 via Lentini to Ragusa through the mountains it's an extra hours driving. If you choose to come to explore this area you will be sure to have a good holiday.

Ett mycket bra boende med bra läge för att upptäcka sydvästra Sicilien. Bostaden är väl utrustad med två badrum och underbar pool. Vacker trädgård med flera platser att sitta för måltid och avkoppling. Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam värdinna. Allt fungerade perfekt.

Nous avons eu du mal a quitter ce superbe endroit. La maison est simple mais il y a tout ce qu'il faut.2 sais de bain c'est très appréciable. Elle est très propre et la cousine très bien équipée. Et le jardin et la terrasse sont extra. De nombreuses tables a livré et au soleil un barbecue.... Et La piscine on ne s'en lasse pas: les transats la douche extérieure l'ombre bre des oliviers... Quel plaisir de rentrer de nous journée et balade ou de plage et de finir par un plongeon. La propriétaire vit au dessus de nous mais est très discrète et nous laisse le jardin et la piscine

Es war wunderbar
Die Wohnung ist wie online beschrieben, sauber und bequem. Frau Salemi hat uns mit Ihrem selbstgebackenen Kuchen und hausgemachten Marmelade freundlich empfangen. Der Garten mit vollen Zitrusfrüchten war für unsere Tochter der Traum. Wir waren insgesamt nur 4 Tage dort, aber trotzdem haben wir uns sehr genossen. Vielen Dank Frau Salemi.

Erholung pur!
Die Ferienwohnung ist Teil einer großen Villa. Großzügig geschnitten, privat und pieksauber. Auf dem Grundstück befinden sich mehrere Sitzplätze und vor allem ein traumhaft gepflegter, großer Pool zur alleinigen Nutzung. Die Lage ist zentral am Rand von Modica und ein guter Ausgangspunkt für die Besichtigung der umliegenden Städte wie Ragusa, Scicli etc. Zum Meer brauchten wir mit dem Auto 20 min. Die Gastgeberin war ausnehmend freundlich, hilfsbereit und empfing uns mit Selbstgebackenem. Wir fühlten uns rundherum wohl und kommen gerne wieder. Vielen herzlichen Dank!

Wundervolle Unterkunft und liebenswerte Gastgeberin
Wir haben uns bei Kaethe von Anfang an wohlgefühlt. Die Wohnung hatte alles was wir brauchten, sogar einen privaten Pool und Kaethe war eine liebenswerte Gastgeberin, die immer für uns erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit war. Wir haben sie und auch ihre Katzen ins Herz geschlossen :-) Wir würden Kaethe jederzeit wieder besuchen und können diese tolle Unterkunft in Modica wärmstens empfehlen. Alles was man braucht ist schnell zu erreichen: Apotheke, Tankstelle, Bäckerei, Lebensmittel, Restaurants etc. An die Fahrweise der Sizilianer muss man sich gewöhnen und auch mal mutig sein. Es gab im Umkreis einiges zu entdecken. Unser Urlaub ist zu Ende. Wir wünschen den anderen Gäste eine schöne Zeit bei Kaethe!
