Lovely little spot! We weren't there long, but it was perfect for what we needed. My only regret is we didn't stick around long enough to make breakfast with the eggs she left from her chickens.

The host is very friendly and helpful! The room was very clean. There is an extra long cot available if you need a second bed (for a kid). The kitchen was mostly well stocked. The oven does run a little hot so keep an eye on that. Also, the tub is slippery since there’s no mat so be cautious. Overall it was a really great experience and we will definitely be back!

A great, relaxing place to stay in the redwoods. Aneka’s property is so peaceful. Close by to a lot of cool stuff or just hang out in the yard with the ducks and roosters. Will definitely look to stay here again. Aneka is a great host as well. Fresh eggs in the fridge and easy communication.

Wonderful host who was very welcoming and tried to make sure we knew how to get around (visiting the Redwoods!) Very close to Jeremiah Smith Redwoods... Fresh eggs in the fridge straight from the flock downstairs! The Hideaway is a great, secure basecamp for spending a couple of days in the redwoods.

This place is well located, close to town, the ocean, the river and Jedidiah. It was a bit musty and dark, and did not have a place to relax outside: therefore I spent as much time away enjoying the parks and other gorgeous features of this area. There was a rooster! The host was friendly and quiet, the bed was comfortable.

Anika was very sweet and helpful. She gave us information about the area, directions to local scenic spots, and was always quick to respond (and very nice when we locked our keys in!). The loft was cozy and charming, everything worked well, and the atmosphere was fun - plus, chickens! We would definitely stay again.

Our stay at "The Hideout" was so amazing. Aneka was so helpful and such an excellent host that it made me sad we could only stay one night. She was very accommodating to our schedule as we had been unfortunately underestimated our ETA to her place. I would recommend staying at the hideout for anyone looking to visit the redwood forest!
