Highly recommend! Emmanuela is a wonderful and attentive hostess and the home is absolutely lovely. Plenty of room for ten adults who love to cook, eat and visit. We spent most of our time outdoors by the pool and around the outdoor dining table.
As they were harvesting olives on the property during our stay, we were invited into the grove to see the process up close and visit with the harvesters. Emmanuela then brought us to the olive oil processing facility, where we were able to see the olives turned into oil.
Capaccio is a handy home base for day trips to Napoli, Paestum and Pompeii.
We appreciated the gated parking area and the lovely grounds where we observed many a beautiful sunset.
We hope to return many times!
Another fantastic family stay at the Villa Emeliarco, this time with ten of us! As always, we enjoyed cooking and eating together in the massive kitchen and indoor and outdoor dining areas, after a poolside aperitivo while the sun dropped down into the sea. The pool has been completely rebuilt this year and it’s wonderful. The rooms as always are lovely — I would just advise that two rooms which are described as separate rooms are more accurately described as one huge room sleeping five, as they share a bath that is only accessible from one of the rooms. This has never been a problem for our family but something to keep in mind if you’re planning to use each room as a private room. The location is quite convenient, however a car is required — the villa is not in walking distance to town or beach!Hostess Emanuela is a love — she speaks great English and will meet you at the villa when you arrive with gifts of estate-grown olive oil and local bread, cheese and wine. My husband and I both had medical issues during our stay and Emanuela called and made a dental appointment for my husband and then actually accompanied me to an appointment with her personal doctor. I cannot recommend Emanuela and the Villa Emeliarco enough. Can’t wait until next year!
Excellent located large villa for extended family holidays
A large villa with ample room for a big group. All rooms large with good beds and storage. Terrace areas and furniture all adequate for the group size with good views looking over the area. Large pool and enough sun beds for all. Kitchen facilities adequate although some needed attention. Hostess excellent sorting out any problems and offering ideas for local things to do. One issue is that you cannot walk out easily for a meal as it is a little to far for young children. A car is essential. Local restaurants good and reasonable price. Beaches good long and sandy, mostly beach clubs but public areas available. Lots of interesting things to do in the area. A must is to visit Paestum and mozzarella farm and a trip to the caves and canoeing the gorge in the mountains.
The villa does not have air con or fans so you need to be used to heat although keeping shutters closed does help.
It is a typical Italian villa and so there are always issues with electric and water at times.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend the villa and beautiful area to other families.
