Great place for 1-2 people, beautiful outside. Nice little apartment. I enjoyed my stay! Springy bed, and you can hear the neighbors at times, host responds quickly!
Hidden gem in the country. This apartment was perfect for our trip to visit family. Bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a small kitchen and laundry facilities. Apartment was clean and nicely decorated. My teenager even brought his fishing pole and spent some time fishing on the property. It was nice to be out in the country-nice and quiet. Hosts were welcoming and friendly. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip.
The apartment had everything that we needed. The host communicated quickly. We woke up to a beautiful view of a pond and meadow. The bed was very comfortable.I was ish it had a bathroom door and not just a curtain. We would stay there again.
I will recommended to my friends and anyone who will ask me for advice on where to stay if going to Sherwood or nearby towns. Best experience on a vacation rental.I felt as if I was a part of the family more then a guest.
Mr. Bill went above and beyond to help out with anything my 4 grandsons wanted from a fishing pole, the use of his basketball goal and helped us get a campfire started to cook hotdogs.will definitely visit again.
The host was so incredibly helpful with providing spot-on driving instructions / directions; he was so helpful throughout my stay, and the place itself was so relaxing, comfy, and the view was unbeatable. If you're looking for a place to decompress, relax, and feel peace, stay here!Such a wonderfully relaxing, calming stay and I'm glad I chose there!

This was at least the 2nd stay for the Godards. We like living here for the same reasons the Godards & all of our guests like staying here. It's peaceful, quiet, relaxing, & natural. Thnx Godards for your patronage. We look forward to hosting y'all again!
We enjoyed our stay. Great place to stay when traveling with pets. This is our go to location when visiting Little Rock. The host is friendly and accommodating.
Our stay was quiet, comfortable and perfect accommodations when traveling with pets. Thank you Bill for ensuring all our needs were met. This is our second time staying here and will definitely come back.
I love this place. Quiet, private, great views. I've stay in two of the suite's both great. Having a washer and dryer is very convenient. I always stay here when I'm in town!
I selected this property based on price and rural location I wasn't disappointed. Quiet with beautiful scenery. Well equipped with everything we needed during our one week stay.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We enjoyed hosting you. You have a standing invitation here.
Beautiful setting not far from Sherwood and Jacksonville
We enjoyed our stay, and our dogs did too! The host had just gotten a new couch and loveseat for the living room. Apartment was well-equipped and clean, and very quiet setting. The pond view was wonderful, early the last morning I saw a flock of geese fly off the pond, such a pretty sight.
Mr McCoy was the absolute best! He helped my sister and I grill our steaks because we had never grilled before and forgot the George Foreman 😅 he made sure we had everything we needed! Amazing host! And we loved Rocco! The room was cozy and clean! The land was beautiful! Thank you for letting us stay!

I was happy to help y'all to grill your steaks. Glad you liked them. Also glad you love Rocco & the apt. The beautiful scenery is why we love living here. We hope we have more opportunities to host you.
Great stay overall. The road to
the property is narrow and curvy. Setting is beautiful. Accomodations were all we needed except for a measuring cup. The bed is a little bit hard for our old bones but we managed for 3 nights. Living area nice and comfortable. Bathroom had all we needed plus super plush towels.Mr. McCoy met us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know. He was very kind.

Great Property, Not So Great Neighbors
We checked in on a Friday around 7pm. The property was easy to find with plenty of parking. Upon arrival, we had to walk past several people on the narrow front porch. Some did not seem to be the cleanest and none were friendly at all. They also smelled heavily of marijuana and were discussing a trip to the liquor store. They were rather noisy that evening but they did quiet down relatively early. The next morning, they were out again bright and early smoking cigarettes on the front porch. When we returned that afternoon around 4pm, they were still in the same place, still in pajamas, smoking. The house appears to have been freshly painted and overall was nice enough. The furniture was miss matched and worn down and too large for the space but still nice enough. There were phone wires hanging out the walls randomly as well as scrapes and scuffs here and there. There was no path cleared to the water nor did you feel welcome enough stepping outside to feel that you could enjoy the view so games or something inside for some additional entertainment would have been nice. The owners were friendly and informative. Overall the property was nice enough, my only real complaint would be the other tenants and close neighbors hanging around making you feel unwelcome and the smell of cigarettes and weed.

I apologize for your experience, especially with the neighbors. They are good folks whom we are trying to help get established here after moving here from another state. They have an infant & only 1 vehicle which the husband drives to work. Since the wife can't go anywhere, she stays in her pj's. Our listing says that we do not allow smoking anywhere on our property. We've had a few guests who smoke, & we usually don't say anything bc usually it's not a problem. I had noticed the weed smell but hadn't said anything to them about it. They have now moved on. Thnx for your comments.
A truly inviting place of rest with quiet, beautiful surroundings and the most hospitable hosts I have ever met. They go above and beyond to make the most weary traveler feel welcome. The driveway is long and winding but my only regret is not being able to stay longer with my family. And even the resident puppy is dog-friendly.
Our stay was pleasant. The place was comfortable and clean. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay their again if we are back in the Little Rock area.

About the host
Your host
I was born in OH, grew up in Columbia, MO, attended high school in NJ, returned to MO to attend Bible College to train for preaching ministry, married, & had our 1st of 3 kids b4 graduation. Ministered with churches in IN & MO b4 moving to AR in '85 to plant a church. Out of vocational ministry since '17. Wife retired from nursing in '16. Besides our STR (short term rental) business, I am a roofing contractor & a real estate investor. We manufactured & raised 3 kids, all now in their 40's. They gave us 9 grandkids. In '14, after 12 yrs of empty nest, we took in 4 siblings (2 girls, 2 boys) & became their legal guardians. We adopted them in early '20. The girls are now grown & the older daughter gave us our 10th grandchild which evened the genders @ 5 ea. Our adopted boys are still in high school.
Why they chose this property
We bought our 5 acres in '92 bc we loved the property & bc this is the only direction North Little Rock & Sherwood can grow. Sherwood has gotten closer, but our valley still looks & feels remote & far from the city. The only traffic here is our neighbors, their guests, delivery ppl, & contractors. We love the peace, quiet, security, & the sights, sounds, & smells of nature. Our guests love it for all of the same reasons.
What makes this property unique
There are both rural & city properties, but our property is the best of both. We are rural & it looks/feels very remote, but we can be in the capital city of Little Rock in 20 minutes. Many long term nearby residents don't even know about our valley tho they have driven past our little gravel road dozens of times.
