This is a lovely resort. We did not get one of the newer units which are exceptional but an older unit that has the 3 bedrooms we needed but was was in the woods. Still it had been updated and very clean. I highly recommend Sleepy Hollow.

not what I signed up for

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We didn't sign up for an old rental unit that we got. The pictures I saw before signing up for a unit where of new units on the property. So you can imagine the disappointment. There was also a faint smell of mold in the unit, which became clear when I went upstairs to the second unit (which my sister has rented), and the place smelled moldy. I asked for someone to call to discuss, but not one called. They were nice enough to send some clothing we forgot in the unit home to us. Still, that's a lot of money for a moldy vacation...

Our favorite summer spot

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Sleepy Hollow and stay there every chance we get when we want to vacation in South Haven. This time, we brought another family with us; it was their first time at Sleepy Hollow and they can't wait to come back. Always a good time, with so much to do (heated pool, beach, children's activities, etc.)

The place was a bit outdated but well maintained and clean. We loved the location and the walkability to the beach. The house was well stocked and perfect for 2 families (4 adults, 4 kids). we had trouble accessing the property because we were not receiving any text (which provides access code, rental agreement form, etc) but was able to call the property manager and he answered the phone right away (even at 10 pm). He asked us to stop by the office the next day to sign the form in person but when we got to the office, was told it's not necessary. Overall we had an excellent time and would definitely consider staying again if we are visiting South Haven.

Resort is great! Unit 37 is not!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I give Sleepy Hollow resort a 5 star rating. It is very family friendly. Huge pool with kiddy area, beautiful beach, nice playground, crafts and games in the mornings and outdoor activities in the afternoon. The one star rating is for unit 37. We were very disappointed in the condition of this unit. Each unit is individually owned and this one has been ignored for a very long time! It was not very clean, dirt and cobwebs, thick layer of dust on light fixtures and ceiling fans, leaky bathroom faucet, mold in showers ( which maintenance cleaned for us), pealing paint on bathroom ceiling, stained walls, dirty and stained furniture. The owner of this unit does not seem to care about comfort of their guests. This unit should not be rented without, at the very least, a major cleaning, and probably painting and some repairs. I would not recommend renting unit 37 but would recommend the resort. Rent a different unit!

FAMILY BEACH VACATION

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay at Sleepy Hollow enjoying the grounds and the beach. The cottage was wonderful with the spaces, appliances and kitchenware necessary to be a home away from home. The screened porch was a great place to share meals, play games and stage our beach gear. The cottage is well maintained with plenty of outlets, great lighting and plumbing fixtures that worked well. Highly recommended for a week getaway. The grassy lawn with grill and picnic table was used daily and we had a fire in the pit on the last night. Good stuff!!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location, safety snd family atmosphere are pluses. Having to request toilet paper and towels for a unit that sleeps 8 and mold/mildew in the master bath are negatives (this is hodpitality 101 and should not be encountered at this price point). Many updates are needed in this unit. Staff is friendly and helpful when issues are brought to their attention.

Sleepy Hollow 37A

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay at Sleepy Hollow resort. The staff is excellent and was very responsive. The unit we stayed in was perfect size for our family of 6. While the unit had everything we needed, it was dated and could use some upgrades. Similarly, the resort had everything we needed but most of the sports equipment had been around for awhile and could use updating (including bikes). The resort was very clean and well maintained. Great spot for families

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
