The villa is close to Callawassie amenities including golf, clubhouse, tennis, fitness club and pool. Callawassie Island, located in the heart of the Lowcountry, is a private, gated island community offering world-class Tom Fazio golf and a full complement of amenities including a tennis center, clubhouse (dining and bar option) , two pools, state of the art fitness center, and River Club (dining and bar option).

Dated appliances. Landscape was not very inviting. Dead roach in plain sight as we walked in. Top half of a window in one of the upstairs bedroom was not completely shut. I closed it and sprayed and killed several spiders so my son wouldn't get bit. Beer and liquor in the fridge was a shock. Bud Lite and Tito's. Thanks but no thanks. The place has potential but for the price I paid I was left dissatisfied.

We're committed to providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all our guests. We appreciate your candid observations about the dated appliances, being that they were in such good condition and fit the space so well we opted to maintain the original look of the architect. The landscaping is taken care of by a professional maintenance team, being that the villa is set amongst large pine trees, we feel that the current landscaping is best suited for the property with open views to the ninth hole of the Palmetto course. We’re sorry to hear about the issues with pests, the HOA on the island treats the villas on a regular basis, we have met with the maid service to make sure the Villa is locked down correctly after guests have left. Regarding the items found in the fridge, we apologize for any surprises this may have caused, some guests enjoy a beer or cocktail on the screened in porch, it’s there if a guest would like it (we do not charge) We'll certainly take this feedback into consideration for the future and make adjustments accordingly. We believe that every guest's experience is valuable, and your feedback will help us improve and create a more satisfying stay for all. This property is in a picturesque location on a wonderful island with very good golf courses. But this house needs some improvements to live up to the standards for a rental in this community. we have rented here for the last 15 years. 1. sidewalk entry path is very dangerous, roots under the pavers have made it difficult to walk on. 2. Television - We had to use our Hulu account to be able to access the TV. (Owner was very helpful in getting it set up but that's not what you expect at these prices. 3. Bedding - Creepy, sheets were thread bare and pilled. I went to Walmart and purchased new sheets for my bed and brought them home. 4. Bathrooms, Towels were fine but no amenities such as shampoo, conditioner or face wipes, could be found. There was a pre used bar of soap in the shower, again not what you would expect. 5. We don't think the top of the refrigerator had been cleaned in a year, but the rest of the house was up to standards.

Callawassie property

Great location and amenities with course so close, pool, river club, etc... heron walk neighbors very friendly. Screened in porch is pleasant and patio partly covered so you can have shade or sun. The villa is very simple and tailored for golfers. Limited cookware, dated kitchen, appliances and bathrooms. Home owners are very responsive. I would recommend to all golfers and anyone looking for relaxing & hospitable community getaway.
