This quiet private cottage has all of the comforts of home but is close to everything...

The White House is situated on a 180 acre private estate that has been family-owned since the 1890's & is located within the gates of Colleton River .* You will enjoy escaping it all as you enter the property down a winding country road beneath majestic live oaks.

Slated to be demolished in the 1980's, The White House was saved and moved to its current location at Victoria Bluff Plantation. It has been remodeled and has all of the comforts of home. Enjoy tranquility surrounded by pasture, woods & lovely marsh views from your expansive porch where you can enjoy your morning coffee while watching the sunrise over Mackay's Creek.

Should you decide to venture out, beaches, golf & tennis on Hilton Head Island are just a short drive away, as is old town Bluffton. Or perhaps a day trip may be store to Historic Beaufort, Savannah or Charleston.

If you enjoy boating, there is ample space to store your boat or kayaks and take advantage of the numerous public boat landings in the area.

For those looking to get away from it all with the option of plenty to do, The White House is the perfect fit.

Home away from hime

Fantastic drive out through a gated neighborhood complete with moss covered trees and unparalleled views of the low country. Close enough to EVERYTHING. The backporch was amazing, from morning coffee to dinner on the picnic table, it is easily the most memorable aspect of the stay. Ms. Rachael, as noted in several other reviews, is in fact very reachable should the need arise. In our case she proved invaluable in giving much appreciated information on not only Bluffton and Hilton Head but surrounding areas as well. House was very well equipped as we stayed 7ish days and cooked 2 out of 3 meals each day at home. Would highly recommend. We look forward to staying again on our return!

Just loved staying at this perfect cottage with a ton of southern charm. We have stayed there multiple times and the setting is so peaceful and gorgeous. Moss on the trees and an amazing view of the marsh and water. The back deck is so therapeutic and relaxing, I could sit there all day. I highly recommend staying there..

We liked this home very much. Our family stayed here (2 adults and 3 kids). Great access to beach (about 20 minutes). Home was clean. We spent a lot of time on the back porch looking at the marsh. Would definitely stay here again.

We so enjoyed our stay! It was peaceful and quiet; the only sound were the birds. My kids really enjoyed exploring the surroundings and I loved not having to tell them to quiet down. The house is very comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Rachel was responsive and kind!

Very relaxing stay!

We really enjoyed our time. We had great weather and sitting on the porch looking at the marsh and trees was just what I needed. It is a little bit of a drive to Hilton Head but it was the perfect mixture of being close to activities but staying in a relaxing environment. Bluffton is a very cute town as well. We used the grill one night and the kitchen had everything we needed. Communication with the host was great. We definitely see ourselves wanting to stay again.

Genuine Low Country Life

We stayed for a month in the White House and didn't want to leave. The property was amazing. We all felt like we were living on a mid-century low-country estate. Not pretentious, but nicely appointed and cozy. The hosts were attentive and available - live nearby. If you are looking for a genuine experience, book a stay with Hank and Rachel. I know we will be back!
